Coltzero's Concept Art

Post by Coltzero »

Hey everyone.

I've recieved word of this project trough one of your members.
I'm quite interessted in CA and will start a study in it in about 2 years. At the moment i'm studying in the workd of Graphical Designer. A nice profession, but it doesn't require as much CA as I would hope.

This place is the perfect oppertunity to pratice my skills and bring out my idea's to the lovely folks of the TES mod community.

Traveling Outfit

The idea of this outfit would be for a traveler. As the deserts of Hammerfell ought to be prity hot, good gear is required. I'm still working on an idea for the shoes. Simple sandels won't do the job.

Dry heat of Hammerfell

A little concept for the dry and devastated places of hammerfell.
Also a bit of the rear on the traveling outfit.

Flora for northern parts of Hammerfell

Also added this one to the WSG13.

Another concept, a kelp forest on land (lol)

A beetle possibly found in the dry heats of the hammerfell deserts. Its legs are adapted to the hot sand, so minimum contact is required for this little critter to move very quickly.

A church window for small towns that can't afford expensive glass.

A concept for a cave from the dwellers race. They live on the edge of a large cliff. A spring of water gives them their drinks.

I looked at some of the amazing art work from CGtalk.com as reffrence, although the idea is my own.

Nice job with the color and it's good and clean. It seems you are using the mouse to draw, correct? I would recomend either scaning hand drawings or investing in a Wacom pen. Looking forward to seeing more.

Welcome to the concept board! I like the scaled guard on this fellow, it's very suiting. Earthly gladiators used this style of armour, but had it's roots in persian design, so it goes along with the clothing well

I think you should make the shadows heavier. As they are now the difference between shadowed and lit areas is to small. Also If you´re using a wacom try to give the lines a bit more variation. For example: Have a ticker line at the bottom of the wall than at the top (this helps the illusion of depth).

Otherwise, good start!

Quite difficult to define it as Nice unless you understand what it is, i totally agree Macar :D

Scroll up to the first post, i explained it there :P

Its a cave, the dwellers greet their husband and father, who's been hunting for the hard to get meat. Their standing next to a spring, their only source of water.
My main goal was to understand rocky survaces better.

Thanks for your encouraging comment Lutemoth, much appriciated!

I think what makes it misleading is the colour of the rock, and maybe a lack of foliage, but i really like it, and I can imagine walking through a crevace like that in Hammerfell, so silent, and you're waiting for something to attack. Great concept, I like it.
