Guild Wars anyone? (not a bashing thread)
I bought the game when it came out.. and eventhough I liked it I couldn't get hooked, so I didn't really play it. I've loaded it up a couple more times since and I think i'd like to give it another go. Anyone else here play?

Let the bashing begin!
I played the Guild Wars E3 Open Beta and had a ridiculous amount of fun. One of my all time favourite gaming moments came from that open beta. But the retail release failed to hook me. I think I played about five hours, and then uninstalled it.
By the time the retail version came out, I had been playing World of Warcraft for a while, so nothing else could compare to that. Guild Wars would have been a massive hit if it had come out just a year or two earlier.

Just like WoW... massive hype, I got it and played it for maybe 3 and a half week and I stopped. Dunno why... played morrowind for three years

I've never played it, but I like their ethics. No monthly fees, and stand-alone expansions? Genius. Proof that MMOs dont have to charge through the urethra.
Yeah i'm hooked on this game. both pve and pvp are amazing (just that pve is a bit short IMO). They regularly update even though there are no monthly fees.
I think I did hell's precipice with lady N once or something. If you wanna form a party with me sometimes, In game name is Li Dian. I have both original and factions of course .
