Wasabi's First Modeling Attempt
I downloaded blender, and Ihave been tinkering away trying to figure it out... about 6 hours of work made this... It is my first model so plz do not be too harsh lol, I tried my best...
When the dust cleared, all you could see was Wasabi walking off into the sunset.

While you're learning, I say "poly counts be damned!" Seriously, while I was learning how to poly-model, I was outdoing all my friends with the poly counts. I learned the best techniques, and then I threw mesh smooths all over the place. Once I was comfortable with the program, then I started to budget myself.
I'm not familiar with Blender so I can't give too many hints. Can you draw very well?
