Akavir
I am going on a hunt for Akavir information, and all i have is the basics from TIL and a good picture of a Tsaesci from silgrad tower. but i know that there was a map of akavir in an old topic, so if anyone can help with that it would be extremely helpful. any other documnets, including names of cities in akavir, name styles, details on races, etc. are also more helpful than you can imagine. thank you for all of your help.
Final Reclaimer
There was an account of the empire's attempted invasion of akavir in oblivion. It really doesn't offer much in terms of information. Though it does mention the temporary capture of two cities and being renamed by the empire septimia(uber-lame) and ionith(very tolkienish sounding IMO) no doubt re-renamed by the tsaesci after their recapture. It also mentions the tsaesci had no navy.

That akavir map was drawn by moi. It's 100% made-up except for the relative locations of each nation (which is now wrong, tsaesci, not tang mo, are nearest to tamriel). All we know about akavir geographically is that Kamal is north of Tang Mo.

I'd imagine they swim very well. Snakes can travel extremely fast on water. Otherwise, I have no idea.Eyeball88 wrote: I'm no Tsaesci expert, but how did they get to Cyrodiil?

Bits and pieces of stuff...
Akavir means "Dragon Land"
There are two known nations of Akavir: Kamal, Tsaesci. When they are not busy trying to invade tamriel, they are fighting with each other. Kamal is "Snow Hell". Demons live there, armies of them. Tsaesci is "Snake Palace", once the strongest power in Akavir. The holdings of Tsaesci are widespread. When natives of Tamriel think of the Akaviri they think of the Serpent-Folk.

What about the Tang Mo? In a Morrowind(?) book it said the following: There are the Ice Demons, who attack the Tang Mo, then there are the Tsaesci who, if I remember correctly, often feud with the tiger people, however they're called. The Tang Mo are friendly warrior monkeys, or something to that effect. Meanwhile, the tiger people and the Tsaesci seem to fight pretty often, they are the biggest nations, I think. The leader of the tiger people apparently managed to become a dragon, that's really all I remember about them. Meanwhile, the Tsaesci are vampire-snakes who somehow recieved some of the DNA of the men and mer whom they devoured, according to wherever I read it. That's really all I know, or think I know, other than the fact that Samurai styles, things like katanas, come from Akavir.
Finally, this is how I think the countries are split: Ice Demons in the North, Tsaesci in the West, Tang Mo in the East, Tiger race in the South. If I remember this post when I have my Morrowind computer back I'll find the book and see how much I got right.

Mysterious Akavir is debateable, we do know, however that the Tsaesci are vampiric snake people with man-like features, and that there are snow demons. Since nobody ever visited Akavir, the fact that the Monkey-People and Tiger-Dragons ever existed or do exist is questionable. We do know, however that the Tsaesci and snow demons exist because they attempted to invade Tamriel. Oh, and there are also goblins on Akavir.

Theres a report on the akavir invasion called the disaster at ionith:
http://til.gamingsource.net/obbooks/ionith.shtml
We actually don't know if the Tsaesci look like snakes or are vampires at all. It might all just be imperial propaganda to make the Tsaesci look worse then they actually are.
Them eating all the men in akavir might have ment they were absorbed into their culture.

The information that said that the Tsaesci and the Demons
were the only accounted for races (other than men, yes there is a good chance that there are men in Akavir) was at TIL. Also, at TIL was disaster at Ionith which I read, and it implies that the Tsaesci had no navy at all, which, as said before, but it also said that they had powerful arcane forces, which means two things 1. The Tsaesci are indeed snake people (leaving vampirism to be questioned) 2. The "arcane forces" casted water-walking spells. And it is also possible for things to be distorted seeing as the imperial army was defeated, making the Tsaesci ten times stronger and vampiric. But, from I can glean from these sources (not to say that my views are not flexible), the Tsaesci are non-vampiric snake people that might have had men introduced into their culture, and having that said there are/were men on Akavir. While the Tang Mo and Tiger-Dragons have simple explanations. The Tang Mo are 1. in fact monkey-people 2. go along with the thought of evolution 3. are men, but distorted like the Tsaesci might be. The Tiger-Dragons are 1. simillar to the Khajiiti and just adopted a dragon as their leader, but are, again, distorted 2. They are simillar to the Khajiiti, and have managed to turn into dragons.
But these are only possible theories, as said before, and some based upon books and reports all found at TIL.

That would seem the most likely about the Tsaesci, but since we dont have any hard evidence to back any of this up (excepting the books which dont imply much about the features of the Tsaesci) I would say that you should go with the thought that they are snakemen, vampiric at that.

No, but it's considered rude to wonder so outloud.

This is my personal theories on Akavir (as well as some confusion and complexities occuring on behalf of what Slateman said--as to what is "real lore" and when the devs should draw their lines). To be honest, we know hardly anything about Akavir. We know Tsaesci exist, and we assume men used to exist, but other than that, we really have no idea. Mysterious Akavir claims a lot of things, but how much of it's true is really debatable. Akavir is still a mystery. And so are the Tsaesci. For those who say we KNOW they are vampire-serpents, you're wrong. We DON'T know that they are vampires OR serpents (I don't care what Slateman says--he's ruining things for real lore-fanatics, and I've chosen to take his information with a grain of salt).
