Interview with Ender

Post by Noirgrim »

I am asking the TR community to come up with some questions to ask Ender (the creator of TR). They can be most anything, within reason, and related to TR in some way. Most everyone that is active now-a-days does not know who he is, so to have him speak about the early days and the evolution of TR would be most educational and enlightening.

Please post your questions in a reply. To keep things organized, please don't reply to others questions or post anything that is not directed as a question to ask Ender. Then an admin will gather up all of the questions that they feel are relevant, attempt to contact Ender (we'll see how that goes), then coax him into answer them.

Why not?
The way I see it, it is to try and tie the new members in with the old, so they can see what it startes as, what it became, and therefore get a better feel for the project.

That was my question for Ender.

No it wasn't, but all the same.

How do you feel about the way the project is going?

Do you approve or disapprove of the Split Engine?
It's not so much working with computers as it is tricking them into doing what you want them to do.

Are you ever planning on coming back old buddy?

Any ideas on how we can bring back the friendliness and comraderie we had back in the day, and somehow lost?

Was your original name really supposed to be Ender, or did you forget the R at the beginning?

Kidding. The real ones being:

Is TR today what you would have wanted it to be when the project first began?

In your opinion what crucial turns in development and philosophy have influenced TR in a way that has made it a better (Or worse.) project.

Oh, forgot to mention this:
Keep in mind that Ender has not been around for a while, so he is probably not aware of the major events from the past few years.

What was your favorite story or bit of Tamrielic history that made you think "this world is awesome", made you want to be able to explore the world beyond Vvardenfell?

I would want to know what he thinks of the TES game(s?) since he started modding. What does Ender think about Oblivion?

Ender, did you expect Tamriel Rebuilt to grow to such a dedicated team of modders? Or did you expect that the project would'nt last so long. If so, why?

-Where did you go to get your first members?

-Did the project start out as a personal mod, or was it meant to be built on a large scale?

-How do you feel (now) about people who say that TR is not meant to succeed?

-when you think of how far this mod has gone, does it make you smile?

-How does it feel to have your name always spelled with a capital E? :P

When was the exact day it started, and who started it (other than you)?

When did you first introduce concept art, and what did you expect from it?

What's your stance on the Silgrad Tower landmass mod?

Do you still keep up to date with the ES games, and still mod them?

me too!

And here's my question for ender...
What is your stance on mod Hierarchy - should we have a socialist "everyone's equal, let's be nice" system, or should the veterans have rights to more respect from everyone else?

WOOT!!!

I have made contact with Ender (initializing forward thrusters...) He says he'd be happy to do an interview, so keep those questions coming!

What inspired the start of the project in the first place?
Stendarr is the God of Mercy and Justice. Therefore, he must also be the bearer of Duck Tape, for only Mercy and Justice can use Duck Tape for the Good of man.

Do you put TR as an achievement in your life, specifically on CVs and in interviews, as well as your own personal regard.
