The 1st Major Bolt-On for TR's Map1

Post by El Scumbago »

Since map 1 is getting closer to its release each day, I decided it's time I expanded one of my favorite mods and bring its features to the new landmass.

I'm talking about 'Morrowind Comes Alive' by Neoptolemus, (whom I'd like to ask before using his work, but I can't find him).

The general idea is to make new leveled lists, similar to MCA's original ones, but enriched with all sorts of TR items and following TR style (for example, I already made new Telvanni guards that wear Molecrab armor instead of Bonemold, and wield new weapons).

The amount of new NPCs and leveled lists to make is big, but will not take too much time. What I'd like though, is to add some more items, not related to TR, with the permission of their original authors -unless they're inactive and gone like Neoptolemus.

Is there anyone willing to help me with this? I know how to add new items in the editor, but sometimes the procedure differs, and I don't want to screw it up.

If anyone wants to help with this bolt-on, he needs to have Tribunal, Bloodmoon, map 1 (v.896 at least), the MCA mod, and knowledge about adding items in the editor.

And a question: Is there any way to avoid the doubling bug without requiring the player to start a new game?

Yes. It's called cleaning a save. Can be done with Wrye Mash, the Enchanted Editor, or simply by having the character sleep for three days in an unchanged interior.

There is reason we closed the bolt-ons forum. ;) This plugin is a fine idea, but I would certainly appreciate your help much more if you worked directly on the mod itself. Map one isn't nearing release if you can still add things to it such as this bolt on idea. Please finish the mod itself before pulling people away on non-TR side projects.

This is true, we need to finish map 1 first. But, it could always be included later in the 2.0 release or something, I'm sure. If that is ever a reality.

No no no, I don't intend to distract anyone, all I need is a person who can spend an hour to get some specific third-party armor and weapons into the CS. The rest is my job, and so far it's proceeding very well.

As for our mod itself, I am working on it too (submitted the Rnayon-ruhn dialogue). The only thing I've neglected for a couple of weeks is Rihad MC buildings, but that's because it'll take you guys some time until you begin to model them.

Besides, what I'm doing IS for TR, and I want to believe it's gonna be a useful bolt-on

You don't get it. Bolt-ons are gone. No bolt-ons! The forum was removed because they serve as little more than a distraction and were absolutely never helpful.

Best to wait until I've finalised the ints and exes before adding more stuff to the esp.
When we make a release, it'll prolly be a esm, and you can release an esp bolton if you like.

I'd much prefer you worked on mainstream TR, though.

To be honest...I didn't really like MCA that much. I mean, you're free to do whatever, but on MCA, I could just sit there and within five minutes have like a possy of young, breton women following me, and an Orc with a gigantic axe...It just was too easy...You could just go "Talk about me. Talk about you. Talk about you. Talk about me."

"OMG I LOVE YOU NOW!! Let's have sex!"

Not saying it was a horrible mod (by no means), but yeah...Just my opinion...Plus, I don't generally use companions anyways.

Got it now Sload, thanks.

Lud: You know I'm working on mainstram TR, both MW and O. And I'm not abandoning the project, just making something that I enjoy.

Diego: You're not the only one who doesn't like MCA. but then, I'm not the only one who likes it

If I may ask one last thing, if the map 1 esp, TR EoT and OoT change in any way (such addition of cells or alteration of item prices), will it affect in any way already existing leveled lists and NPCs that include TR items?
I'm asking because the MCA-TR esp depends on map 1 esp.
