Uploaded them again and sent them via PM Graff. Somhow I managed to send one of them twice, so just ignore one, since they are both the same.

Not having much luck with dungeon stuff. I'll take a crack at some battle sounds and if I cant come up with anything I'll try dungeon again hehe. Great dungeon peice Macar.

Very frightening! However, I'm worried that it will stand out to much against the original. Maybe if you added some sustained string chords, not very loud, but still enough to retain some of the orchestal feel.

But exelent work, none the less, I just wet myself with fright.

Yeah, I've been trying to add some strings to it but as soon as I do, it sounds shit. Not sure what to do with it. I'll keep trying I guess, and if I cant, you add some if I send you the MP3?

I have listend to all the original dungeon tracks then mine, dont seem to stand out too much.

Pug: Nice work on Darkness, like Macar said, a bit of melody would be nice =)

Macar: *nudge*, I still need all the mp3s from you that I've already approved, please? (Greatness lost, Tension, Hymn to Tiber Septim, and the one we both worked on). I trust you still have them on file, as I've already pointed out that I didn't permanently download them before the server move, so I can't get them.

Attempt at a battle track.

http://media.putfile.com/Fury-12

Edit: Not happy with it as it is. Going to add some effects to take away the sharpness and maybe add some other instruments if I can.

So are these any good for Stirk or should I just scrap them and start something new?

Going to try some HF stuff in the meantime.

I really like Fury, though it is a little short. I'm not sure where I stand on Darkness, I'll give it another listen when I wake myself up :D.

Graff.

P.S. Macar, I still need those other tracks.

It's a battle track, it's supposed to be short. :P

Most OB battle music is only 1:20, I think the longest one is 2:00.

Darkness 18-15 is rather good. I would just advise cutting down on the big synth waves, too loud and invasive for a background music, and removing the whispering voices.

Fury doesn't sound at all like any other in-game combat music. It doesn't evoke TES at all to me. The intro is too long, and the rest is too repetitive and modern.

I've been going by what people requested. Somone wanted intense battle music, and Fury is what a came up with.

If all music must sound like Oblivions original music then I cant see me being able to contribute much when it comes to music. But I'll keep trying to come up with somthing that meets Oblivions standards.

I'm going to disagree with Gez here, I think Fury is a really good track, it might even be a good start towards HF battle music.

We're going to be doing music of different cultures in TR, not just the vanilla OB tracks. If it was a case of doing music that sounded exactly the same as OB music, I could do it by myself with ease.

Carry on guys =)

Alrighty, I'd like to get this going again (it's almost done).

Pugzilla: Upon playing Oblivion a lot, I think that Darkness fits quite well with and without the strings. I'll let you decide which one you preffer- I think it's scarrier without. As for fury, my only complaint is that it builds up, but When the combat music starts, the battle has already started and half the time it is over in about 10 seconds. I think you shouldnt have any parts where the cello tremolli arent there- because that kills the tension. The length, however, is fine: just about a minute.

At first I didn't like it with strings. But now after not listening to either of them for ages, I'm liking the strings version better. But I agree it does lose some spookiness. Maybe possible to use both of them, less spooky one for the upper part of the dungeon and the spooky one deeper in :) (with strings gets my vote)

Sorry I've not been about for awhile, had computer probs, just got it fixed late last week. And I find myself addicted to HOI2 again, not played it for a long time... Once I've conquered the world I'll get back to work :P

That's okay- I've been doing my share of gaming lately, as well (OB and WOTR2). I dont know about including both, though. Probably not a wise use of file space.

My only suggestion is to cut the intro in half, and change the repetitive part toward the end.

Hey, guys, I know I officially can't produce music ands tuff for this, but this is just a sample of the kind of stuff I can make.. sorry for the kinda poor quality and ervewrything (plus short length etc) and yeah.. Just check it out, see if you're interested.. I know I should turn the main melody guitar down a bit (and yeah I know an electric is out of place in a medieval game.. but its just a sample) just wondering if you guys might be interested at all.. idunno..

Track I made for Stirk. Tis a dungeon peice, I called it Darkest Depths, since it's an evil, evil track that will make you poop yer pants. :) Well I hope it does anyway, enjoy!

It's a first draft, but pretty much complete. If you can think of any changes to improve it let me know.

I really liked the beginning; after that it got a little repetitive. On that last note in the repetition, i suggest going down one more note. It would make it sound more much better and eviler, I think. Also a kettle drum beat somewhere in there would be nice: something at the end, a bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum. Great piece.
if you read my location and thought "woah what a perverted old man!", then you must be a perv yourself. because i never said anything about them being strippers... heheehheehheee

Hey Macar, how goes it? Good to see your still here. :)

@ Ayedail,

Heres what I do if I'm having problems getting started on a tune. I get an idea of what I'm wanting in my head, like a battle track. I then wade through piles of music to find somthing that fits what I'm looking for. Then I attempt to copy the basics from it. Since it's almost impossible to copy a track 100% you'll come up with somthing completely original. Delete the track you was using as a reference and build your track from what you have and change it even more if need be. That last battle track I did I used the music from a ETW trailer to get me started. G/L.
