Well, hello, and welcome to my shack of "tries" :).

This is my first try to make a longblade. I haven't put on any texture since I started learning blender a week ago and havent come that far, but it is fun to begin in the early stage of my modding.

I had a problem with attaching the 3 parts into one part and make them have the same gradient.

There will be more, i promiss. :)

The sword looks like it is coming along, but I'm a literature guy, so almost everyone is better informed than I am. The best way to get into Tamriel Rebuilt is to create an interior or exterior cell. You can find the Recommended Interiors Here. And here is the literature guide, in case you want to write something.

Where were you this time, Nanu? It's almost the 6th, making this almost 5 days old. Shame on you. :P

Hey! No, I saw this. I'm not a model guy. I don't get them. At all. :P

Looks like the handle still needs to be joined. Looking good though.

I've never used blender so not sure what it can and cant do. But when I model I'll either just use one primitive and extrude/bevel to make the model, avoiding the need to join parts together since it's a single peice. Or I'll use more than one primitive, attach them and then target weld the verts.

If Blender has extrude try using that with a single primitive to make your model. If not maybe somone who knows Blender can help you.

I am aware that these goblets may be of no use to you but i wanted to show them anyway...

Awesome model, we can't use it ingame of course (too high poly) but it proves you have skill enough.

When you count poly do you count vertices or what. I use blender and i dont know where to see the poly count.
If this would be ok to use, how high polylevel can it have?

Sorry if I may ask stupid questions but I would like to try to modell a creature but I suck at making "bones" and animations. Can I make a modell and then send it to somebody else that make the animations?

Question 2:
Does it matter in what size I make my modell?

Question 3:
Can somebody else make the texture cause i suck at that as well?

This is a kind of shortblade. I got the idea from one of Lutes' concepts. There is no texture as you can see but I like the jagged edge. I am happy for all criticism.

A thought about the goblet: is the color on the outside, or is it in the volume?

There is really no colour. The dark part of it exists because of reflections and space in the volume. I hanven't made that. Look and the picture above that one and you will understand...

Awesome job on those goblets and the pitcher especially, man :-D Have you tried going online for different textures to use? From what I hear, texturing is pretty easy (making them, I mean). All it takes is the GIMP or Photoshop. Keep it up!

Your clutter is looking really nice Joco. Did you 'finish' these, or are you jumping from one model to the next a lot?

Ok El scumbago told me to some furniture and i did. I am quite satisfyed with this chair. The polycount is just above 1000. I don't know if it is too much or not. Please be critical to this one. Well I've been jumping quite alot between my modells but now i'm back on the first one so i will complete most of them.

This one has a bit higher res.

What can I say, fast and good! Great to see you can work with low poly too. Keep it up I say :P

P.S. Oblivion has an exactly same chair in the Lower Set, next time try your hand at something more...unique

This chair I had problems with making the edges less sharp. At the moment it is very sharp and not very nice but with a p0ly count of 320.
Can anyone help me with this beveling problem? The bevel makes everything -------up.

Here a a new version on my hunting knife. I actually forgot to save the blend file with the last one so this one is from scratch. I'm aware of that my chioce of textures might be awfull, and therefore: please criticise!

damn Joco, not to bad with Blender are you?..

I really like those glasses and the jug texture is pretty nice. Not a huge fan of that 'hunting' knife but it's still a good mesh/texture. nice designs man

The chair is looking really nice; I wonder if you might be able to put a nice carved design into it, like across that back-cross piece?

The knife is so-so. The texture, of course, could use some work. But it, too needs some fine details. Like a nice leather grip on the handle, a more definate edge (or that could be there, just the texture is throwing me off) and maybe something on the end of the handle. The handle itself looks unwieldly, because of its shape, but I've never handled a knife for combat, so I really don't exactly know. :P

Textures are your most troublesome thing right now, though, IMO...

Should the carvings be in the texture or in the mesh (3D or 2D)?

Of course the polycount will rise alot with 3D carvings...
