noice! I was on an episode of the PBS Kid's show Dragonfly TV about two years ago (still reruns alot), if anyone cares... I did a little 2-minute segment on how to scare squirrels away from a birdfeeder.

An article I recently saw in Science News mentioned that sensitivity to high-frequency vibration may be higher, although it didn't say anything regarding whether visual 'refresh rate' or auditory thresholds are affected, both of which I have noticed may be the case. Then again, given that the comparison is normally to the senses of my parents, age may be a factor...

While they are, in some regards, similar, the difference in what someone with high-functioning Asperger's and someone with lower-end autism can achieve is huge.
Personally, I consider Asperger's to be beneficial.

Yea, whenever I think of a TR member I always just picture their avatar as an actual person/talking animal/talking inanimate object.

One quote was all I got, and that was probably the least interesting of my answers to his questions.
And I was squinting because of the damn sun. GRRRRR
Noir, its living with it, and because of that, studying it as well I've been a guinea pig for a hospital doing research(well paid for a few MRIs for that matter) and they know me there so I intend to find a job or at least internship.

I have a mild learning disability- Dyslexia. Not too severe- mild enough that most people and teachers have no idea.

I watched the whole evening news, and wondered why you never came on; but then I realised you were talking about the NY local news and that I just wasted an hour.

Before the brief TV appearance, almost nobody did, kinda good to have it off my chest, and it makes a good conversation point.Macar wrote:Hey, I didnt know you have Ausbergers. But then again... why would I?

Its not at all a learning disability, its more like a fortify learning 100 points for life potion. With a side effect of obscure literary interpretations of symbolism(and other meaningless academic crap with no relevance to the real world) not being understood at all by my brain.
its more of a social disability, can't read facial expressions or body language well etc. Which is why I love using the internet more than in person....that stuff doesn't matter!

Dyslexia is also a bit of a double edged sword...
It gave me a ton of trouble learning to write- and I have been severly handicaped when it comes to reading music. But, I do have a unique prespective when it comes to certain areas. Plus I can write backwords at will BTW, I think I read somewhere that a lot of people with autisim and ausberger's also have Dyslexia- though I may be misremembering that.
