WSG#23[F]: Necromancy of Hammerfell

Well I could be wrong, but I believe the brain actually makes the zombies sort of capable of independant thinking. Opposed to skeletons who can't since obviously they have no brain.
I can't provide any books or other pieces of lore to back this up, but I did alot of research in the past for my book "The Profane manual" and I remember something like that, it could even be from prepartion of the corpse.

My feeling about zombies is this: They are strong quick fix undead helpers from relatively undamaged bodies that are easy to raise up from the dead, but do not last very long. If there are not so many good bodies around, a Necromancer has to prepare the bodies he does have more carefully.
If the brain has to stay intact, the funnel can be used to apply some kind of fixative fluid.
Unless of course the Necromancer wants to add a romantic touch, by having a zombie that ceases to say 'Fresh brains!' after approximately three weeks, the rotten brain mucus streaming over its shoulders and in puddles on that expensive Dunmer carpet.

In all zombie-logic, it's plausible for the undead to lose it's head... Just as long as it keeps it's brainstem and whatever's left of it's medulla oblongata or any good portion of spine. I may be wrong, but it's the last part of the nervous system to rot. That can come in handy for a self-information firing locomotion.
I really love the ideas that people are coming up with in this WSG. very cool work, indeed, guys
oh, and expect something from me sometime tonight.. I've been a bit too busy, as of late

Just so that I don't leave this sitting around and forget about it here is a better version of my concept I had done earlier in the thread. I didn't have time to completly colour it in, but still I did do some of it.

Heres a crappy placeholder, I am a bit cross with how stiff it looks, but I haven't got near finishing any of the limbs yet

We should probably do another one on Necromancy, except a little more specific.lb003g0676 wrote:

I'm playing Neverwinter Nights again, and it seems to cater to the Necromantically needy, for whom it is not a first offense, a lot better than Ob and MW do. Here is a quote:
The phylactery...like a jewel in how it glistens, like a corpse in how it feels.

Thats still a lot and far between.
I am thinking 'Yoku Gods, and their Eerie Avatars'
Which can include their worshippers and all the different ways they can appear.

Well, artists are already covering the gods themselves, of course, but if an atmospheric of Yoku temples, or something similar, were to be next I can see at least two submissions from me, as I have a lot of ideas on the subject. As for the Necromancers, etc. I have little idea of them. So personally, I'm all for a Yoku worship WSG.
