fair point, but in a mod this small i didn't think anyone would really notice anything running anywhere. (guesses u did tho, (oops)). but anyway, i can fix the lot in like 10 mins if you'd like as it's nothing major.

and thanks again for the input

edit** ive had a look and the tourch at the bottom of the stairs doesn't go any lower, ive tried dropping with HAVOK on but meh, no luck.

I thought id post this here seeing as it's non-TR related but all the bethesda white robes sucked royally. I made this for my own mod a while back but still haven't released it.

thought you may like it... oh, and you'll need to reassociate the texture with the .nif files. should take more than 4 seconds tho as it's only the 1 texture for the lot.

This guy should be promoted.... If not for his skills- for the fact that he's hung around and stayed involved this long.

Inhumanly hard at some points, but overall a very nice work, simplistic and good layout (especially the end of the tomb's first section, where the pieces are upside down) nice decoration, and lore wise. I was hoping to see the planks working, but it's ok.

Half of the CA Mod recommends this modder.

yeh, i ahd kinda hoped for the planks to work to, tried a few differant scripts but eventually just settled for a nice, big button. they kept dissapearing to late (after they should have) or getting stuck in HAVOK blocks of the wall. was a nice thought tho.
i hope the nasty trap that propells logs at the end made you jump...

and wow, 2 recomendations for promotion. thanks guys

Oh dear, I'm too late to give my own vote. Congratulations, angelus, if I can count that would be 18 days of waiting. I'm not sure whether that's an achievment or not, but let's say it is. :D (And with the achievment I meant how soon you got promoted, not how well I count if I was right with the 18 days.)

The first suggestion: host them at imageshack! The retextures are nice, especially the Spriggan one, which is much clearer than the vanilla one. The sword on the other hard is too filmsy, almost lame. The mesh needs some more things, like extra spikes perhaps, maybe smooth it too... I don't know, perhaps it's a matter of taste but I can't say I like it.

lol, they are hosted at imageshack. :)

secondly, im not sure i like the sword either. my feeling was thats it's to flimsy and needs something extra. anyway, it's a work in progress, so we'll see when (if) it's finished

What. Exactly. Is the purple guy?

The green tattoos - persumably they're tattoos or somesuch - are too contrasty with the purple. My eyes bleed x_x

(By the way, the white robe above is pretty neat, mind if I steal it for certain members of the mages guild in my Daggerfall project?)

If it wouldn't be imposing too much on you, recolouring it to a medium blue would almost perfectly fit the clothes of one of the sprites of a Mage's Guild Member from the original Daggerfall :D

Er, hate to impose on the thread, but Chahiero, are you making Daggerfell for Oblivion now? Or did you think the robe was for Morrowind? Because it's an oblivion robe...

@Gnomey - I know it's for Oblivion. It can be adapted for Morrowind, however.

I think "stumble around in" is more accurate a description of how I utilize anything regarding Morrowind ;)

The shape of the sword is awesome and the whole concept as well. Make it a modell in blender and it will look even better.

Ok ok... I mean just make them 3d and not just 2d, becasue that isn't 3d (it doesnt look like anyway). Is maya or XSI free?
Are they easier that blender to learn?

That is a 3D model for the sword, Joco. A nice one too, but the texture makes it look, well the textures kinda fruity, truth told  The hat if purple/blue would serve well for a Mage.

Maya is most definetely NOT free. It's not as bad as SoftImage though ... you could pay for college tuitions on what that costs. Hell I could pay for university tuition on what the Advanced package costs.

The XSI mod tool is free though, which is nice. 8) Not half as powerful as the Advanced, though. Not even close.

lol, maya is FAR to expensive.. i had the privaledge of using it on some college macs a while back. XSI is a great tool but only really good for Half-Life 2.. pity really. anyway, i'll change the hat colours for you Chahiero. just want a purple and blue one?

i'll post the finished sword later on, need to tweak the texuture a bit.. ok, a lot

The mod tool was designed for Source Engine editors, so yeah, it's meant to be only good for Half-Life, really.

The Advanced package of XSI can make some pretty photorealistic stuff if you're persistent. It's what was used for the Myst series, in it's previous incarnations, and it's what's used for 3D animation in a lot of movies. LOtR used it in parts, for example.

As to the hat, just as in the sprite is fine :D
