Sort of an RPG? In what way? It's pure RTS.

You sorta have to have an interest in warhammer 40k to understand it or you could just play it until you understand, either way.

Warhammer's pretty cool.
Dawn of War was kinda hard, though.
You put the opponents on easy, and they're like, completely non agressive walk all over me types. Then you put it on moderate and they kick the shit out of you.

haha, kinda like playing against a real player then. you get the noobs who can't play properly - or you get the hardcore players who own you every time. there's no middle ground.. ever

*Cries for the poor misunderstood Guar*

On the note of Warhammer being RTS as apposed to RPG;

I believe that, in a sense moreso than other games, RTS games are a kind of RPG. The only difference is that you play as a leader, not hero or adventurer, and that your stats are measured in economy, military, civility, diplomacy, and/or a number of other things rather than Strength or Willpower, etc.

As for the kid and the mom in the video, my sentiment is generally the same as some other's here. It is their own fault. Still, it is a pity.

By that logic absolutely any genre could be called an RPG. A first person shooter you play a shooter who's stats are measured in frags, in a sports game you play a coach and your stats are measured in games one, in adventure game you usualy do play a character and your stats are measuered in how many puzzles you solve, beat-em-ups you play a coach as well, Flight sims you play a pilot, heck- even in tetris you play a block orginisor who's stats are points, you even level up!

That is true, but in those cases you refranced, that's a characters score. By stats I mean the strength and ability of the character.

In Warhammer 40K the major difference is indeed that you are not a single person, you're the leader of a group so than you play an RTS...

That makes the diference for me...

I bought WoW last week... got to lvl 18 and now im bored. Addiction is because of the person not the game. RTS is nothing like an RPG, your "stats" on and RTS are temporary for that game only whereas on an rpg you have to plat for ages and you get to keep what you acheive.
