Musicians in cities

Post by Sky Captain »

I was playing morrowind along with a mod called balmora exteneded one day when I saw this. There was a band playing a song in the city in balmora. So, in tamriel--rebuilt, are we going to incorporate this. Maybe there could be travelling bands and whatnot

too much extra work, nothing like it was in vanilla morrowind, that would require a lot of voice acting, we have a lot of other things to do, that would divert voice actors from oblivion where they are vital rather than a neat add on, etc.

(Btw, adding that third option is a bad idea. I voted no, but others will probably hit it just to see your response)

An official addition? Might be nice. I'm all for more depth in the game. But we have lots to do already.

I think it would be better as an addon done by someone else in the community.

Must... resist... desire... third option...

Voted second. We just don't have the voice actors to spare for songs. BS scrapped their idea to have bards in Morrowind taverns for a good reason.

I love idea of course- but it's probably not going to happen. It may be possible to have some in OB, though- we'll see. It's not really a prioty.

And for future refference- adding a poll to every discussion you start is pointless and it will get on people's nerves. Basicaly, there is almost no reason to ever start a poll...

I can't recall if we still do, but we had a thing for side plugins at one time that weren't official for TR, but they were from TR members and posted here as optional downloads. We may still have that, but I could also be wrong. This goes along with alot of things like making obese people in TR or children. As cool of a thought as it is, it's either just difficult or impractical. However, there might be some merit in this idea.

Indoril, the Bolt-Ons were dropped from TR a long time ago. They achieved nothing, diverted attention away from TR modding, and wasted time and space on the forums.

That something I'd like to incorporate in TRMCA. Since NPCs can be spawned in groups, I may as well add the singing bards and drum players that "The Regulars" mod introduced. Quoting Sload here: "I expect something more than the acceptable".

I can see a travelling band going with some high-priority quest or something, though. (Map 2 mainquest, anyone?) If composers ever get a slow day it might be a nice thing to do. I don't think I'll vote, because though it is generally impractible it is a nice idea and might work well as something unique. In short, I'm split.

Oh. Sorry then, didn't mean to give the wrong info.
