Nichevo's arcitechture

Here's a tower segment I've modeled from El Scumbago's concept

It's about 1800 triangles and should have lots of room for added detail.
I already set up a [url=http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewforum.php?f=203]thread[/url] in the showcase subforum, but OOT may be a better place ( sorry for keeping multiple threads ).

Do feel free to inspect the model. What I need help with is UV-mapping the thing. I can't seem to make it unwrap nicely no matter how i select and project. Any tips, questions or critique is highly welcomed.

It looks fine for me. The player can't reach that so it won't look that bad. There's no levitation spell in oblivion as far as I know. Good job Nichevo!

You're right, that doesn't look very smooth.
I believe that's the shading making those 'edges' since it's not per-pixel ( no UV-map ). It's the same model as for the screenshots which is from Modo, so I hope it will look much better textured.

Have you thought about looking at the official architecture sets for Rhiad?

I do want to get involved in architecture for Hammerfell. Just need to get some experience. Once I can allocate a decent amount of time I'll have a look at the OOT arc. thread ( but I fear I'll be occupied over Christmas with revising ).
