i have a small problem

Post by High Lord Xenor »

I like to get mods off the internet, it makes gaming more fun. but one day i unchecked the tab always ask me before opening this file. so now i can't open the file and all i get is save or cancel. Anything i can do to get the open button back?

all suggestions are appreciated.

Well if you like to download mods, the save option is what you need. I hardly ever open anything instead of saving it, unless it's a .pdf file. I refuse to let those filthy my computer's beloved hard drive with their nasty filthiness. Anyway, if it keeps bugging you, there's an option in your Tools > Options > Main under Downloads, you can check "Always Ask Where To Save" if you have Firefox.

ummmmm...

when you save a mod you save it to your Morrowind data files directory

or am I not on the right page here?

That is a setting based on file type. Do you remember what type of file you did this too (probably ZIP or RAR)?

If you do, you can follow these directions to get that dialog box back, just do it to the file type you want instead of DOC:

I can make a rather dramatic suggestion. If you install Firefox, it might just work? Mozilla Firefox is better than IE, at least a lot of people think so.

Let's not turn this into a 'my browser is better' thread, if you please. Thanks :-)

Why don't you just create your own account, password it and hide your documents. He won't know it's installed if you only install it onto your part of the computer.
