What race would you be?

Post by Ayedail »

heres me again ;) i want to ask a question, i allready asked around on the people i have on msn. so the question is;
what race would you be if you'd live in tamriel and which style of architecture would you prefer to live in?

i dont really know the answer for myself actually... but i like the imperial style best, and probably would be dark elf.

I'd be... Nord! No... Redguard! Hmm... Khajiit? DARK ELVES FTW! Nah, I'll go with an Altmer... or a Bosmer instead? Orcs were always cool, but as cool as Argonians? Perhaps I should go with a Breton... but the Imperials rock!

:D

Now, where to live? Orsinium is somewhere I haven't been too much, but High Rock brings back so many good memories! Hammerfell as well, but what about Summerset? Can't live without going to Summerset, or Valenwood, lands of elves, but Morrowind is on the other side, with a -well, err...- interesting background. But Skyrim is the best because it is the coldest, or would Elsweyr rock because it is hot? But Black Marsh is somewhat secluded, but why live anywhere when I could live in Cyrodiil? Good question...

It's a hard choice, but... I'll say either Redguard or Nord up in High Rock. I liked High Rock, liked Daggerfall...

Let's see. Races:

Argonian: Interesting enough, but I wouldn't want to be caught be the Dres, or whatever lives in the Black Marsh.
Breton: Wimps
Dunmer: Not minding fire is good, so as long as I don't have a lung full of ash...
High Elf: It would be sad to realise that my whole culture and race is vain...
Imperial: Dull
Khajiit: Maybe, but my point about Argonian still stands, and I don't want to become riddled with Bosmer arrows.
Nord: Something is somehow stopping me from really liking them, so no.
Orc: Ugly, but string and resistant to magic, might be worth it...
Redguard: Good at fighting, and all around good, so maybe.
Wood Elf: See Bretons.

Provinces:

Black Marsh: Well, the question is where I want to LIVE
Cyrodiil: To dull, methinks, to ordinary...
Elswyre: That sounds good, but I'd be bankrupt in seconds. All those thieves...
Hammerfell: After seeing some of Lutemoth's art, this is pretty tempting.
High Rock: See Cyrodiil
Morrowind: Not the healthiest place, but it might be nice to visit it once in a while. :D
Skyrim: See Yoku title for Hircene
Summerset Isles: I'd be fine getting my learning there, but a bit too cultured for me.
Valenwood: Don't know enouh about it, but it sounds as though it were next to the Black Marsh in dangerous fauna, and flora.

Conclusion: A toss up between Argonian, Dunmer and Redguard with a home in Hammerfell.

I'd be a Bosmer, somewhere in the woods...

I always like it to sneak, and kill unseen...

I would always be Nordic. But I wouldn't want to live in Skyrim, the current vision of Rihad, with it's tributaries and brooks, with the occasional petty waterfall, shrouded in little trees, and meadows stretching out to marshlands, where the marsh is not muddy but sandy, is definitely my kind of setting. I love fresh water, so those tributaries and waterfalls would suit me good.

As for architecture. I would have a hard time choosing, I would find it amazing to live in Redoran Architecture, however none of the Dunmer architecture is light enoguh for my liking, so, the imperialised Architecture around Rihad would suit me fine, especially bearing in mind that I wouldn't be in a town, just nearby a town, so I could have peace and quiet.

I'd have to be a Nord, and I'd want to live in Skyrim along a fjord (I assume Skyrim would have them...) Something like the Geirangerfjord in Norway. I'd hope that in Tamriel, I could live somewhere similar...

As for architecture, Nordic, perhaps mixed with a little Imperial, sounds good to me.

A wood elf. Doesn't matter in wich province, nowhere perhaps. Just traveling, stealing and killing through all the provinces. It does gets boring when you can kill anyone and anything with one blow or shot out of sneak mode...

I'd most likely lean towards Dark Elf. But, then again, they sound funny in Oblivion. I much preferred their voices in Morrowind.
I vote for summary! OMFGSUMMARYLOLZ! xD.
Dunmer: Cool. Resistant to Fire, but their voice is funny.
Altmer: Good with Magic, but, I'm not into much magic, besides Illusion, Restoration and Destruction. Voice is also funny.
Bosmer: Good with a bow, but they're short. Same issue with voice.
Argonian: Argonians look funny.
Imperial: I don't like Imperials. Their hair sucks.
Breton: Me no like either. I dunno why.
Khajit: Khajiti also look funny. But they're cats, so maybe.
Redguard: Meh.
Orc: Ugly bastards. But they're strong. But, ugly bastards.
Nord: Meh.
Ignore the extra d, please.

I would be an Imga, living in a high tower in Valenwood. I would be called "The Duke of South Watching" and I would stay far, far away from any "lower" beings of which some people call "man", yet I would prefer to call them stupid, arrogant and foul smelling, amongst other things.

I would be a Dwemer. Yes you know what that means. I would be Yagrum Bagarn. I would live under a televani tower. Later on I would get into scandelous love affairs with Fyr's daughters. M

Well, if Dwemer are an option I would be a Dwemer who hated Yagrum Bagarn so much that he wouldn't answer his calling and avoided meeting him, and who is now living in a deep, hidden vault of one of Hammerfell's ruins, occasionally leaving them for a nice, unseen walk among Hammerfell's wonderful scenery.

I would be an elf, and I would either be dark or high. I would live on an isle. Perhaps summurset, or perhaps some ash-swept wasteland.

Khajiit, or maybe Argonian. They're both awesome, but I'll bet all the girl's into furries would dig being in bed with a Khajiit... until they found out about the barbed hardware at least 8)

Only problem I do see with being a Khajiit is having to stock up on a helluva lot of shampoo, conditioner and combing would take hours. The alternative solution to incidents of lack of toilet paper are non too appealing either...

And who the hell do you go to for a check up? A vet or a GP? Well... in Britain I think animals are treated better than humans in a medical sense, so vetinarians are probabaly the way forward, if they have man-sized cages

Id probably wanna be like Umbacano, a Ayleid descendant trying to restore the former Ayleid Empire and enslave all the foreigners. Oh and retake White Gold Tower with the help of the Aurorans under the leadership of Umaril.

o.O I didn't know Almalexia was a city. Mournhold definitely doesn't look like it's inside a city. The huge gate that leads to nowhere in the district with the statue in it doesn't look like it connects to another place. I'll read on it.

I'd be a nord, i already look like one and i like that they can survive in the roughest of circumstances.
I always liked the town of raven rock in Solstheim, i would live there but i would have nothing to do with the mine, problably be a woodcutter or something like it. Or an explorer..

Thanks for all the replies :p but i dont really think all of you guys understand the question itself! xD ok you all gave the good kind of answer on the question, what race would you be, but the other question is misunderstanded.
i do NOT mean WHERE you want to live in tamriel, but what STYLE of ARCHITECTURE you prefer, for example, the telvanni, redoran, hlaalu (balmora), vivec, imperial, mournhold, nord (stone or wood (stone= seyda neen)(wood = solstheim) IN MORROWIND NOT OBLIVION!!! so thats the question :p

Dunmer.. Man, that was a suprise answer, wasn't it? :P

and while I prefer Redoran architecture, living there is not my cup o' tea. If I were to be mugged or attacked, I'd like to know what for and why. unsympathetic dunmer half-fluent in Tamriellic is something I don't want to encounter. Seedy, suspicious Illiac Bay for me, thanks

Ah, I missed the bit about architecture... I very much like the architectural style of Cheydinhal, nice upper class pseudo-tudor style, there are quite a few historic halls/buildings near where I live that look similar. Usually very cosy, nice high cielings too :P

As I've only played Morrowind in the ES series, I'll pick one of those.

Telvanni: If I feel a bit drowsy, I might end up falling off a root bridge, or down a chute. Not pleasant, and would probably happen a lot due to general lack of railing. Looks nice, though.

The other's have less to mention, so I'll spare you the full review and go with my favourites: Mournhold looks comfortable and the most livable, I'd probably go with that. Velothi isn't so bad, I'd like that too. Hlaalu and Redoran I never really liked, so I'll go with the first two.

As for ruins, that might be nice as long as the inhabitants won't kill me, for example if I were a Dwemer a Dwemer Ruin might be fun, and Smuggler Caves seem cozy in their own special way. :)

I'd prefer to live in a house in Bruma, so long as it had a basement. A basement is a must, so I can store all my armor and weapons and be really neurotic and bomb shelter like.

i agree with Orix as far as Cheydinhal having the nicest architecture.

But I can't wait to see what Rihad looks like once it's finsihed.

So it's eitehr what i said before, or in a piny and deep laked region like Cheydinhal.

I love pine Forests with waterfalls and lakes more than the one I said before.

Anvil = too salty

Skingrad = that Glarthir guy ruins the whole thing

Imperial City = all those sewers...must smell really bad

Bravil = I'm not even going to start on that one... can you say "ghetto"

Leyawinn = rains wayyyyy too much

Chorrol = reminds me of Germany and the banner was totally jacked from Lord of the Rings

Bruma = I love the snow, hate the fact there arent snowboards in TES

Cheydinhal = water in town which means mosquitos which means lots of West Nile virus

ok then... I'll just do major settlements

Ald'Ruhn = ashstorms give you cancer

Balmora = ok maybe....

Sadrith Mora = I'm alergic to mushrooms

Mournhold = fabricants might get you in your sleep

Vivec = I prefer not to be called "scum"

Seyda Neen = same reason as Leyawinn ^above

Gnisis = I'd get sick of kwama eggs pretty quickly
