RPG in the works
Hi,
I have an idea going for a RPG game (morrowind like) ,and I'm asking If you have some ideas or suggestions that you would like to see in a RPG.
Later when I see that people are interested I'll share my ideas.
A second thing : Who knows how get in touch with a Game Software to present my ideas (From Romania, or a software company that has a office in Central or East Europe).
(For those who know Ilidur, I'm his brother )

There's no R in "ideas". you must listen to people who live in Boston all the time...
But yeah, this thread is kinda pointless... if you have suggestions for the mod, put up a new thread in "lore discussions" and share it.

Sounds pretty interesting. Just make sure that you don't make it too much like all the ES games, because they've included ALL of those things, most notably the character becoming a hero. But yeah, if you add a lot of different stuff, quests and items to the game, (fetching quests are a complete no.) it could be pretty interesting. If you have the time, and the right skills, know the right people it could be pretty good. The thing I look for in games nowadays is complete attention to detail and glitches. Oblivion had a few issues, eg: The land looking like ms paint from a distance, no waves, even on coasts, Interiors of houses looking like it's Night during the day, due to the candles/torches being lit 24/7. What I would've loved to see in that situation, was actual windows, not blue. Non-Breakable of course, but to let light in, and to see out of. It's the small things that bug people, and alternatively lure them into the game. Eg: Being able to frost part of a lake/river with a frost spell? Being able to light trees and fireplaces (with logs in them) with fire spells, etc etc. Anyway, if you can read through all my crap about what I'd love in a game, hopefully you can keep it in mind .

There's a mod for Morrowind wich lets you look through the windows. Never downloaded it myself.

Endurance : Stamina(Energy), Damage Reduction, AC
Magic (?) : MP (mana), Spells Strenght
Dexterity : ... (helps with hand actions)
Agility : AC, ... (helps with body and leg actions)
Accuracy : ... Aiming (hand eye coordonation)
Intelligence : MP, Learns skills more easely
Wisdom : ...
Charisma : how you interact with other NPC
Constitution : HP, Healing rate
Speed : How fast you move, atack
Luck : Helps to have luck on your side

MP is almost used everywhere, perhaps you could use something else. By the way, I don't have that much knowledge about creating games (exept with gamemaker ), but this is my opinion.
Is it a single- or multiplayer game?
Wisdom might add places on your map, knowledge on items or ingredients etc.
I should make the effects of these attributes a bit more simple. This is getting a bit to much, also for the beginning player wich may stop playing it by this. Another reason to do this is that the player won't know wich attribute he'll have to increase to get better in something.
P.S.: Remember that this is a Tamriel Rebuilt forum? Not that it matters to me but, well...

Heh, that's soon to be fixed. I do think that it's time to start adding some things. Before it was all development behind closed doors- more preparing and setting up. We do have an FAQ on the forums, but I'll finish that up and make sure it's all updated. I'll add it to the site this week. (I appreciate your checking it out!)

It's okay to share some of your ideas- but just remeber that we already have a ton of lore established, and specific ideas for what we want in the game. So if youre looking for someone to make "your game" AR is the worng place!
