Haplo's been encouraging me to present this idea, so here goes:

Lutemoth (the one modeled after my name), is apparently a fan-favorite by a few in the community. Personally, it'd be a blast to see him running around the mainland. (his attire can be negotiated, as the left arm is noteably lore-breaking)
Lutemoth, a burglar with poor navigation skills, poor disposition, and a well-rounded smooth talking jerk. Not a home-born dunmer (prefers to call himself dark elf), was raised in the hum-drum life of a chainmail smith's son in the Colovan West. Through an arbitrary change of lifestyle at the dunmeri age of mid 20-ish, he flittered across the heartland, zig-zagged around the velothi mountains until he made it to Narsis, and business thereon. His original intentions were to be a heroic bard, but with no intention of picking up a lute or sitar, he simply donned the pen name Lutemoth and told everyone likewise. His hands were much more suited to tinkering and his better judgement was deviant enough for a life of crime, so burglary was a shoe-in. His appearance in the Telvanni area was for the curiosity to the whereabouts of a friend and business contact, whom had supposively been discovered breaking into a Tel-house. Despite his talent for sweet words, sleuthing is not his forte. His lack of patience for those not fluent in Tamriellic has hindered his task considerably. Lead-up information reguarding this incident would be helpful, but so would a tankard of brandy.

A crackpot who lives on the streets, and can't get the idea out of his head that he is the Nerevarine. If you are the Nerevarine (this is for the Morrowind part of the mod, right? Well, I hope so...), and can convince him that you are, in fact, the Nerevarine, and he is not, he will switch his claim to being that of Vivec. (Or Dagoth Ur, and then try to attack the player)
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

I meant the fact that you offered a NPC to be the Nerevarine, while the PC is.

An Argonian mage experimenting with eggs -- kwama eggs, molecrab eggs, ornada eggs -- in order to adapt Argonian "soul gems" recipes to Morrowindi resources.
(If you want to know, it was said in the game Redguard that Argonians create soul gems out of unhatched eggs. The origin of the eggs wasn't precised, however.)
Maybe he could even succeed at creating them and sell some to the PC.

This could be an interesting guy who tells stories about how he climbed the red mountain through a devastating storm of lava and hot ashes that totally disintegrated all of his armour and weapons. Then he beat the crap out of Dagoth Ur (20 feet tall, paralyzing with his eyes and shooting fireballs the size of sheep from his fingers) with his bare hands. Perhaps there could be some stupid merchant in town who actually has believed this story and purchased "Keening" from him (some regular dagger enchanted with drain health) and now his looking for Wraithguard to be able to use the blade. Or then he just tries to sell "Keening" to the PC for ridiculous amounts of money.Psyborg wrote:A crackpot who lives on the streets, and can't get the idea out of his head that he is the Nerevarine.
Another NPC: Old lady with a bad habit of misplacing things. She claims her ring to be stolen, and it can be foud on her bedside table. She then thinks the thieves must have brought it back and refuses to give you any reward. Perhaps every time the player enters her house the same ring is stolen. It can always be found in different locations inside her house.

This reminds me of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. There was a weak joke-of-a-vampire who believed he'd become human again if he killed the chief-vamp, and wanted to buy pieces holy cross. If the player had a wooden weapon (bat/plank), he could sell it to him for quite a price. Quite a hilarious thing, maybe a stupid vamp hunter could serve the same purpose here.

a kindly old lady who asks you to get things for her, then if you investigate further you find she is using them for necromancy. she doesn't mind that you discovered it, she just tells you she wants to reanimate her recently deceased *relative* and asks that you don't rat her out. she needs to be standing outside so that if you do rat her out you can see an old lady get killed by a swarm of guards.

- Old, cynical Imperial Legion guard with 'twisted' answers for typical guard topics like
'fines and compensations' or 'Imperial law'
f.e. "Fines and compensations are just a legitimate way the emperors use to fund their
wars and legions", "Imperial law was created for the Emperor and Empire, but not for people. It's not a People's law ...."
- Hlaalu agent send by Uncle Curio to assasinate some Telvanni figure. He failed and now he is
afraid of Curio and he is hiding in Map 1. He calls you 'sweetie' and 'pumpkin' just like Curio.
If PC has joined House Hlaalu, NPC can be persuaded to report to Curio (disappears).
- Old, successfull Nord bounty hunter living in luxury retirement afraid that somebody put a
bounty on him. He is never leaving his house, he is always in full plate with some fancy
helmet. He asks you "Are you a bounty hunter ?" over and over again.
- His wood elf servant is making fun of him but he doesn't want to admit that he likes old guy.

A sad girl standing on the shore looking after the ship that carries her true love - a sailor who visits the town every now and then, the sweetest man ever, always promising that he will one day settle down with her and they'll start a guar farm together.
The sailor can be found in a tavern on the other side of the country where he has hooked up with some local girl. When asked about his "true love" he vaguely remembers her. The local girl can be persuaded to leave him when told about his other girl. If a male PC does this the sailor might think that he tries to steal his girlfriend and attack. If a female PC does this the sailor is convinced that she did it just to get rid of a rival, as the PC obviously wants him for herself. He might make some indecent proposals, or why not even buy her some drinks.
Maybe even some more flesh could be added to this story with a third girl in a third town who is very familiar with this sailor and his habits and swears that "if he ever sets his foot in my town again I'll..."

-Saddistic_Angel- O really ? Not Curio's style ? Tell that to Reynel Uvirith or maybe to Banden Indarys. They are both dead ?... that's a pity 8)
2 of 5 Curio's quests are assassinations so I think that sending a assassin IS his style. Looks can be deceiving 8)

NPC idea...
Hmm....
Perhaps a small brotherhood of people who want to rebel and take over the tamrielic empire? And you can take a quest to help them rise, or take a quest from the imperial legion to quel the rebellion?

She is very stressed out, and often bites her wrist when she thinks nobody can see her. She is wearing one expensive glove on her left hand so no one can see the bite marks.
She is very bad at planning and a terrible procrastinator.
Opinions:
She has a couple of interesting remarks about the magic schools she is studying, that show she truly has some insight in magic.

Opinions:
He feels strong loyalty to Orsinium, even if he sometimes has trouble getting along with other orcs. He has no special respect for religion. He turned his brother Brogamul in to the Imperial Guard because his brother had gotten himself into so much trouble he would have gotten himself killed otherwise. He'll tel the player character about that.

Hmm, I think I read somewhere that male Orcs have the prefix Gro to their last name (e.g. Gro-bol) because it means "son of"-[father's name], and with females its gra-[father's name] meaning "daughter of".
Of course, if they don't know who their father is, they should not have gro-/gra- or a last name... I think... anyone else know if this is correct?
EDIT: I was correct!

I already posted his background on another story, so I might as well copy the post down to here:
That should explain his character pretty well. He would probably talk about the Hist, how he turned over to the nine, and about abolitionists, (heh ), calling their actions illegal, but trying to avoid having to take a stance on slavery. If anyone does write dialogue for him, just remember that he's excellent in diplomacy and would be able to keep up his cover story seamlessly.Cackles-At-Softskins, Argonian. A high ranking legionnaire, he was the captain of a garrison in Argonia until it got overrun by locals. The event was pretty much the climax of his complex battle between anti-beast-race Imperials and Argonian locals.
He was raised in a small village of Argonians, and was brought up to believe in their religion. The village was overlooked by a large garrison and when he came of age he decided that the legion might be a good place to start his career. The next year Argonian guerrillas, going on their quest to liberate similar small villages, came to the village and attacked the garrison. The Imperial cult inside was wiped out, and Cackles-At-Softskins fled with a few other Legionnaires. The fleeing group had to stop fairly quickly, due to the obstacles of Jungles, marshes and their fearful inhabitants. Cackles-At-Softskins, having a knowledge of the raiders, brought together some soldiers that night. He grumbled about how uncomfortable the ground was, how he missed the soft beds back at the garrison, and said that he would go with any brave warmblood and re-take the garrison. Incensed by his grumbling and not wanting to seem cowardly, over half of the legionnaires agreed, so Cackles-At-Softskins marched back to the garrison as their leader, knowing that the guerrillas had already moved on by then. Upon reaching the fort he looted it dry with the help of his fellows and told them all that they could no doubt keep their share of the loot if they told a tale of the brave battle over the garrison. Already a wise diplomat he did the same with the locals, and when the reinforcements arrived everyone in the fort was given a promotion, the biggest going to Cackles-At-Softskins. As for the villagers, they received a good share of the loot.
Using similar methods he rose up through the ranks and, as I had already said, was stationed at a garrison. After it was destroyed, again by argonian raiders, he chased down the attackers, who retreated all the way to a large, ruined Dunmer fortress city and turned it into his new fort. His views: He worships the Hist privately, publicly he denounces the Hist and worships the Nine. Though he often defends his fellow countrymen, he sometimes does work against them, but he never allies with Dunmer slavers, nor with anyone directly opposing the Argonians. Here is a very important point: If you use only stock Argonian beasts, take the head with the open mouth.
As you can see his character is quite fleshed out, but naturally you can change it as much as you want, except for the face. That stays, or else!

a man experimenting with potassium nitrate, charcoal, and sulfur because he's convinced (it came to him in a dream, or it was translated from some dwarve ruins) he'll get an amazeing result if he gets the ratio right, other NPCs refer to him as a deeply crazed man
the player could latter find him in is house dead on the floor because he got it right and he got it right (his notes will saying that he should try 15:3:2 next)

That, and violent conduct towards to video game children is an act frowned upon by the Elder Council xD.
Morrre NPC's.
-A drunk that thinks he can fly.
-A drug addict Khajit with a 'magical living hammer.'
-TES version of Jigsaw!
That'd be fantastic. Could live in a dungeon with lots of rooms with skeletons in chains, and on tables, and bones everywhere, etc.

heres a specific one,
Ra'Garrett the khajiit thief, head type 03, hair type 04
Items-10 gold,imperial templar pauldrans(both),common_pants_01, common_robe_EOT, silver shortsword
location-any room in a tavern where he stays all the time
about him- he was a slave as a child and is strongly against it. he is somewhat racist and only likes other khajiits. he'll ask you if you agree with him and if you say yes he'll give you some information about the twin lamps.

Let's see... Imperial Templar Pauldrons are for Imperial Knights, not random people and the EoT robe is for the End Of Times cultists only, sorry.
