Tablet PCs

I may be getting a new tablet laptop as a high school graduation gift in two and a half years. Does the tablet actually make 3d modeling easier or is it just a pain? Thanks, and is it responsive enough for drawing pictures on the computer?

Who knows what tablet PCs will be like then?

yeah. PCs went from 3.8ghz tops to 12.8ghz tops in 1 year.

In two and a half years the only PCs available will be government issued Thrig-tops, as all personal property will have been renamed to reflect the glorious leader...

As far as I know- tablets arent good for modeling- best to stick with the mouse. However, a lot of tablets either come with a mouse or allow you to use your old one alongside it.

My brother has a tablet (lucky son-of-a-gun) and he dosent use it for modeling. Yet- it's a great art tool- and you could use it in texture work.

Most are like laptops without keyboards. Some are basically laptops with a tablet screen that can turn outward.
