What would you like to see in a mod.

Post by -Saddistic_Angel- »

I'm not too sure if this has been raised before, but I thought it'd be interesting. So, what would you most like to see in a mod? It doesn't much matter if you're serious or if it's just a wild fantasy etc.

I really don't care for the setting... i just like good storys [quests], or nice palces to explore.

I'm not to fancy of mods that simply add items, armor or weapons to the game, in fact i have none installed.

I'd like a mod to enable you to see through windows, and to create waves against land in both games.

Hammerfell, ofcourse. And a mod wich creates generations, with kids, grandfathers, adults. Would make the game more realistic.
Also the possibility to die as a player by your age.

Well, my first choice of course would be Hammerfell.
But my second would probably have to do with adding new gameplay, like crafting weapons, or something like that. :D

There's a mod called Axebane's hunters and realhunger mod (http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Hunters_25_RealHunger;69686)

It makes you able to craft arrows and armour. You also get real hunger, so you can cook food and stuff.

For Oblivion? I'd like to see High Rock, Skyrim, Morrowind, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood, and the Summerset Isles.

Not Hammerfell? Yes, not Hammerfell. 'Cause that's what the Ob-modders here are making, so I don't need to see another Hammerfell project.

For Morrowind, I'm quite happy with the mods already available.

Summerset Isle(s) Alinor sounds like an exciting place.

And as Gez mentioned, Hammerfell is already being rebuilt right now so there's no reason to have another Hammerfell mod

I would visit Stros M'Kai and Alinor.

I'm big on ambience and realism. I don't know about you all but I found the Imperial City a huge disappointment simply because in my mind it didn't fit what I imagined from reading about it. Can you imagine Barenziah walking around the Green Way? I think White Gold should have been far more grandiose; the temple, the center of all religion, was a plain dome with apartments around it. Where is the huge spire with statues of the gods and saints with a huge brazier atop to symbolize the enlightenment of the divine? The city has been in existence for more than a millenium yet the graveyard is tiny. Cyrodiil City just didn't incorporate aestheticism into its design. I imagined an Imperial version of Versailles where everything is sumptuous and decadent. Mind you I did like the library in the palace.

Off the subject, Ive been thinking. Maybe for a set of objects for Hammerfell, a set of letters like the old House Dagoth graffiti. Imagine walking through the market place and you turn into an alley and there is graffiti and signs and such. They can be manipulated in any direction and the modder can create signs and such. Or like they used to have in ancient Greece. Footprints painted on the roads to direct you places. Whatcha think?

Cyrodiil having twice its size. Bugless and glitchless. With area-specific hand-placed decoration by the UL team and us. And Crassius Curio directing the Lusty Argonian Maid.

I keep wondering if anyone will ever bother to increase the size of Cyrodil... If they do, I hope its more than twice its size. Seriously, if people went Daggerfall style on Oblivion's ass, which would take decades, it would be a site to see. I bet it would take an in-game month just to see everything of interest in the IC :D.

Still... quality over quantity, gotta keep that in mind :P

A Harry Potter TC on Oblivion would get my vote, or Hammerfell to it's fullest potential.

I would like to see more thief and dark brotherhood quests. I would like the mod to be more fleshed out and fun to play then a mod the size of cyrodiil with a bunch of small side quests and random items. Also it would be cool to make a small recreation of Tamriel including all the landmasses, in correct positions on the map.:)

i want to see Strettungent and Scourge Barrow built to scale. mainly the exteriors.... other than that: getting hammerfell cities to be large and full of oppurtunity is my goal.
