oooo.... is that the new sculpt function I see?

Looks good, has alot of potential. I think the model itself as a base shape is good, but needs the details drawn in.

I dont think this technique works- the relief is too blobby. Unless there is a way to make it more defined I'd stay away from it.

I am inspired today! This model might be the best I have ever made in view of usefulness,(i think...). It is a leaf. With texture and i HAVE exported it to nif and it worked!!!. I am learning something... I hope this one can be used somehow...I like the texture, i took it with my own camera...

Thanks! And by the way, I have textured the table now, I don't really know if it is good or not, cause I am not good at texturing. Please comment...

Well, here is another concept. I thought it to be like one of those Greek atrium houses. And, yes I know it needs more details but this is just a concept, there is nothing worth if I am to work with something for hours and then it is still useless. I need to know what you think, and remember it is quit hard to improve if nobody comments...

The hole in the middle is an open place, like a garden inside the house...

Pretty good model Joco :)

Your skill with plants looks pretty impressive, if you have a look through the OOT Flora and Fauna thread, you might find a plant or two you'd like give a try? Best thing about plants is that it's a good challenge, and while walking through Hammerfell, people will see the models you made all over the show :D

I will give it a try! But do anyone think that the atrium house could be useful anywhere? In that case what kind of details would be appropriate?

Awesome! I look forward to seeing your skill in 3Difying the concepts, just try not to go too overboard with the polies, since they'll be scattered all over the wilderness.
But do anyone think that the atrium house could be useful anywhere?
Its a cool design, I think a house with a courtyard would be an awesome high class/tavern design. However, the conceptual focus is mainly on Rihad/Goldmoor architecture currently, which is following a pretty set style.

Most likely there'll be a shift onto different styles of architecture once we move onto another region.

Hey, congrats. I'm no modeller, but from what I understand it takes quite some effort to import a model. Keep going Joco.

I like the idea of the house, but it is kinda small and plain. Also does not really fit in HF.

Come up with some other courtyard designs that fit better.

I realized the courtyard was way too small so I sketched in a larger version today, but If you think it is a waste of time I will go and make some plants instead even though it is HARD!!!

Can somebody help me... Is it possible to have texture on both sides of a face even though the normal only is on one side?

If it is possible can sombody who uses blender help me doing it. It would really save polycount when making plants.

Hello, sweet models out there Joco! The leaf is my favorite. I wish I had time for modeling but it seems that real life is pulling me away from TR. I hope I'll be back in the summer holiday.

Joco you are improving alot...... what you might want to do for the handel, is try to find a leather texture and put it on.... see how that looks.... make the handel smooth and leave the detailing to textures!

Here is another concept model of a waterpump (dunno what it is called. Please comment if this is usable and what kind of details that are needed. This is only a concept though with a low polycount, about 250 polys.

Is this taken from a concept?

Sorry, I'm just curious, are you mainly practising for your showcase, or aiming to make stuff we can use?

This is not from a concept. I am not practising, I want to to some real work, but it seems hard to find any suitable for me.

I'd suggest working on some flora. I'm working on a palm tree from a concept by Morden, and I'm actually feeling pretty good about it. Also, flora, IMHO, doesn't usually need the level of skill creatures and architecture take.

I have tried some but most concepts are so strange and detailed so it is very hard to model them.
