that's not bad- I think the outlines of the spots are a little to sharp, though.

Gotta keep the mask on the crowns. But I love this stuff. Really not sure on the dundweller art. I imagine they'd be a lot less free about it, and more diagrammatical. Because they must want to tell a story, and make it obvious, to get their point across quick. I imagine more hieroglyphical style, and yet not. I definitely thing aboriginal is too flowery for their art.

Nice work Nalin. The finished product would make a great addition to Morrowind.

Also, apologies for abandoning my post, folks. As I type, I'm at a friend's laptop, and without access to a scanner. I'll be up at full capacity and utmost ferocity as soon as I can, however :)

Aye, found out that little guy some time ago (found it on television, quite a good program), and they do look a lot alike, yeah. However, it doesn't really matter anymore, as he's been decided as unusable and out of lore

I still think there should be an easteregg where a dunedweller either talks about it in rumors or as an idle murmur.

"In better times- our ancestors rode upon the of the giant ka'gwola. So great where they that they caried mountains on thier backs- and trees grew out of thier heads."

"In better times- our ancestors rode upon the of the giant ka'gwola. So great where they that they caried mountains on thier backs- and trees grew out of thier heads. Your ancient father lived on one in fact, yearning his fortune by providing travel to merchants; but they longer this plane." The wizened man sighed as he finished his tale. He dreamt of glorious past he never had seen, a past he could only share with his young grandson. So be careful, one or two may still hide in the rocks or beneath the mountains."

It would add a lot of cultural flavor I think. What lore restricted this wonder from walking amongst the dunes?

"It is said that a single dunedweller's will was so great, that he could convince the great spires and mountains themselves to move, through his song-prayer. The Ka'gwola were the daughters of these mountains, and lived in symbiote with the sacred nomads. The dunedwellers are humbled, for the Ka'gwola are no more."

Maybe the remains of one somewhere too?

Or maybe just one of them in game?

We were chatting about them on IRC last night, and while they may not be viable moving creatures, having a stationary one with limited movement, like the silt striders would be awesome.
P.S. Please don't make handbags, wallets, belts or shoes out of Orix

You're smart Adanorcil :D Can you de-Dune-ify it by, say, 25%?

Seeing as its a huge tortoise thingy I doubt many people would make the connection to Dune. Yes, the dialogue out of context is very dunish but once you actually got it in game, that wouldnt be so much an issue.

I don't even known Dune. (By anything but name, that is.) I see no problem there. I just see the awesomest idea in a long while. (This is becoming a habit, which is very bad.) Sload asked to get rid of the crab eyes, which I, after some consideration agree with.

a bit of an expansion of a guardless hilt scimitar design I've been thinking of. It often varies in shape between a chinese Dao saber to a dadao. Sure, they're chinese, but they show a swordplay of elegant dance.

in terms of the guard-less hilt materials:

Reed hilt, a cured and bound handle around the blade that is perhaps the oldest practice of swordmaking. Today, it is cheaper to make, as many prefer modern techniques. A true Reed hilt Raga sword of old is extremely valuable to artifact hunters

Akaviri hilt, being one of the modern practices in sword-making, borrowed from popular Akaviri wrapping design. Perhaps one of the most common designs today.

Ivory, or ornate carved hilt, is a unique work of art. Few Raga craftsman sell them publicly, and fewer yet are found outside the grasp of their owner. One most likely be of noble blood to afford ornate carved handles depicting their glories of battle and heroism.

so? whatcha think?

and PoHa, I definetly will make you a special desert spirit :P

Well.. i was going to say something like "Hey look, its the Yoku God of Jazz!".. but Harke beat me to the smart ass remark. :P

On a more serious note.. i think the body position is incredible. It's very fun an lively. It'll look great on a mural with other gods.
