Don't worry about losing work that's already uploaded. The only you can lose something once it's been uploaded here is if these servers crash.

@aro: actualy: i have never imported a single model succesfully into a game trough nif. it never works. CS always crashes the second i let go of the mouse.

so: maybe you could help me over msn or something!

Sure! I can help you, if you catch when I'm not sleeping ^^ I was always having the same problem, but somehow now it all works. To be honest, I'm not sure why. I have installed the latest plugins and read some on sourceforge about the nifs. Anyway, we use the same max version, so you can just hand me over the scene, and I can export it easily with collison meshes, material properties, properly named dds textures, normal maps, everything shiny and cool.

Yes, garfield does indeed provide us with a 24/7 server free of charge. Hopefully the upcoming contest results will change that and we'll be able to pay him easily for all past bills and many future costs as well.

Sorry I haven't updated OoT in a while, my connection, while now stable at certain points so that I can use the internet, isn't ready to stay connected long enough for me to upload something as big as 50 MB, so I may have to throw it on a USB drive and upload it at an internet cafe or something.

I can empathize with you Haplo:

and i should say that i may go dormant for a while: Quest is trying to charge me twice what my contract states and re-charge me for fees i've paid. (may be without internet for a bit)

and i'm working on the gate: and its a f*ing nightmare. should be done soon.

Hah, seems like I will have to spend over two hours on configuring paths, putting textures in the right place, creating normal maps, and assigning them

Depends on how much time it will take for you, If it will take you five minutes, it's ok. I will still have to configure each material, one by one. And then I will send you back the file, so we won't have to repeat that on each project ^^

I'm waiting for Nex to finish the gate. Then I'll organize it, and export into nif and proper textures

How about making a claim and putting the whole set into OoT?
The simplicity of this set makes me having much fun modelling it.
