Sorry Noir, but I'm afraid I'm not an idiot who doesn't know how to activate a plugin. The error is real. I can see the island in the sea, one time I could even see one of the lights of the ship. I just can't reach it.

Because you can see the island in the distance doesn't mean you have Stirk active. It only means that you still have some LOD files left in your LOD folder.

Hello,

Cell: I'm sorry, I don't have this on me (I'll edit this post later if I can)
Location: the wreck of the Kintyra II
Error: Access to the interior of the wreck is through the hole in the side, but when you enter, it is as if you entered through the main door to the captain's cabin. You can exit through this door, but end up outside the gaping hole, not the door (which is damaged and disabled anyway). When you're in Kintyra II Miud Deck and try and use the Broken Hull to exit the ship, nothing happens.

Cell: Kintyra II Captain's Cabin
Location: Standing in the cabin, looking towards the door exiting the ship
Error: There are blue lines under the floor. I think that whatever is being used to make the floor isn't sealing everything off properly. I can only see it when under water, and not from all angles.

Cell: Near the wreck of the Kintyra II
Location: Near the wreck (sorry, I need to get better details!)
Error: When I'm underwater, looking towards the horizon, I can see a horizontal stripe of stars/nightsky in the water. (Quite pretty, actually).

Cell: In Broken Fang Cave
Location: Near to some bolts of cloth and hourglasses.
Error: When I picked up one of the gold pieces lying on the ground, the others fell through the ground and disappeared. This is something I've seen before in Oblivion. When I used TCL, I could go down and pick them up where they were floating a few metres down (in the middle of nothing).

(BTW, looking into the sea from the cliffs of Stirk and seeing the dark silhouette of a ship under the water must be one of the coolest things I've seen in Oblivion:-)

Error: I fell through to Oblivion, or just and endless fall.

This happened to me after fast travelling to Anvil from Stirk. Will try to re-create and re-post with screenshots and more specific detail. Also:

Error: This is not so much an error as it is a flaw. When the NPCs talk on Stirk the text doesn't remain on the screen long enough for me to read it, this got pretty frustrating. This is probably due to having no vocals to judge how long the dialogue should last, but when I counted in my head there was not enough time for the character to say it if they had been speaking. Has this been mentioned before? I couldn't find it.

Location: Several of the shelves dotted around
Errors: There are a few bleeding objects on one shelf, on another shelf books are too close and when pulled with havok they explode in my face, there is another shelf which looks like benches stacked on top of each other, but there is collision in the way of all the objects so they can't be stolen and it also has issues when the objects inside are moved at all and they start going havok crazy, and on another shelf I caught some objects bleeding into it, and when havoked some fall through and others get stuck in the shelf.

the dialogue error has indeed been mentioned. it is due to the lack of voice acting and nonfunctioning silent files

IATE, that sounds mostly like havok trouble. meh, once upon a time we dared to hope that havok would fix floaters and bleeders instead of creating more....

ill check out the worldspace errors (dissapearing and no travel). this error is very common when working in the same worldspace, but i was sure that it was fixed in the last version...

The havoc button isn't that helpful! It causes floating errors, but I don't know about bleeding errors. However it is a good tool to add some variation.

i never use the havok button, it causes more errors then it solves. but havok still comes to play in the actual game

Yeah, it was in-game, not the CS. Everything on that bench-shelf started going crazy and making a ton of noise when I shot an area effect spell.

I can get to Stirk just fine, but I cannot enter the Chapel.
Edit: This was a script issue related to quests, and I've fixed it.

when i download OoT.rar, and try to unpack it i get an error, and it says "unexpected end to rar" and it is missing most of its files. i have re-downloaded it more than 12 times, but no success

That would be an issue on my end. Since lately I've been having connection issues, my connection does not last long enough for me to upload OoT to the FTP server. So it gets partially uploaded each time, with varying degrees of success.

Since it's only part of a .rar, you'll logically have problems unpacking it. I'm attempting to upload it just about every time I'm on the computer, but if I don't get it to work soon, I'm going to need to put it in a USB drive and go find an internet cafe somewhere to use.

border error

I have a problem with the "can't go that way turn back" message when I try to leave the sewers,
I have tried the .ini change but to no avail
i have disabled all but the knon and si and of course stirk
this is strange I can mod and code but i might be missing something simple....
there are large chunks of land missing around anvil and the imperial city..

any help would be appreciated
looking forward to making a claim to do some of hammerfell

I have recently downloaded the beta version of stirk island from tamriel rebuilt. i also dowloaded the other stuff i was told to. i exported them in the normal way but when i load up oblivion if i am in the exterior cells i find myself in the tiber septim hotel and if i am in an interior or city cell when i try to leave to the exterior the loading menu comes up but when it has loaded i am shown the "you have gone to far, please turn back" message and taken back inside. the only way i can get out is by un-checking the stirk file in data files - so please tell me - i want to play the mod but WHAT DO I DO?

p.s i do have the required shivering isles

as i said on the ESF, try turning them back on. this thing probably happens because 2 mods (stirk and something else) do the same thing and therefore overwrite eachother. if not, then i have no idea.

I get "you have gone to far, please turn back" message in all not city exteriors when i have Stirk enabled. I have disabled borders and tried to re-extract all Stirk files and OoT files but still not working. Can it be conflict with OBSE or OBSE mods or something?

I don't know of any OBSE mods that affect the borders. They all do more...sophisticated things. Besides, OBSE itself doesn't mess with the game at all.

the borders thing is wierd. since it dosent ocur for most players i asume its conflict based. however, since disabling (and reabling) the borders dosent always fix it it makes the issue more complicated :(

i also doubt that its obse related. have you tried running one of those mod conflict check things? (cant rember what program does that...) perhaps it could have something to do with load order>?

Managed to get it working now. That Stirk really is awesome island, but my shadows are messed up there

I changed all settings to defaults and disabled all mods, then I changed borders disabled again and all video and that kind of settings as I liked them to be and enabled mods again and it worked for me.

do you have OoT and Stirk both activated? because the updated cyrodiil map should be in one of them.

Then you probably have placed the map files in the wrong folder, or are using some sort of mod that edits the ingame map

The problem was, and still is, that the mod conflicts with WAAAAAAAAAY too many other mods. Tears Of The Fiend, Lost Spires, Dark Illusion armor and others. This is very sad, because your mod is EXTREMELY great. I hope you will be able to fix this. Even if you don't, np, sure we can play without a map.

any idea what causes the conflict? do all those mods modify the map? or are they placed in stirk cells?

im not really knowleged on conflicts, but i wouldnt have suspected incompatebility...

i think we will try to get rid of as many problems as posible (especialy since the conflicts are with some really popular and awesome mods).

YAY ! I accidentaly created a mod that fixes it ! I was messing around in CS and I wanted to plant a player's house on Stirk. I failed since the house did not appear on the island but I noticed that Stirk was on the map regardless of what mod I had on. Phew... if anyone else is experiencing the same problem , let me know, I'll upload the fix somewhere(probably www.tesnexus.com)

hm, since creating the mod fixed it i would supose that its just an issue of wich referance is newer. if that is indeed the case, the full version of stirk should be newer then the other mods and therefore work.

if thats not it, it would be cool if you could upload the plugin. here on TR is preferable for now.

OK, looks like I was wrong, it wasn't the mod that stopped the problem. The thing goes like this : if the last mod you have activated requires TR_OoT_main.esm then Stirk shows on the map. If not it disappears again. I found this up after downloading a mod. I also had to create my own LOD cause the file I downloaded didn't have it.

I downloaded the OOT and checked it in the data files but the guard armor doesn't show up, neither do a few of the stores in stirk. Otherwise I haven't played much so I might post later too.

thats a mesh error, make sure that everything got extracted and installed corectly.
