Well the east (at least in western cultures) has always been related to something foreign and mysterious. The whole of asia used to be called the Orient (east). Maybe we can say "east" in a different way. Like "Land of the Rising Sun" or something.

I'm terrible with names.

and that graphic is right on by the way... awesome...

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.

Both sound cool to me, and as neither has to be said in game, whatever you guys think will sell best is what we should go with.

(Which in the current situation appears to be a vote for Hallowed Paths :P)

I go with Sacred East because hallowed paths doesn't have to do anything with map2. I know a lot of the map and I saw very few hallowed paths.

Sacred East has meaning. 'Sacred' = Necrom, and 'East' indicates the location in Morrowind. 'Telvannis' indicated that we were developing Telvanni territory in Morrowind.

A cryptic name like Hallowed Paths means nothing to a downloader at ESF.

I thought this was already decided.

The Hallowed is self-explanatory.
The paths are those between the various territories in map2.
There's another meaning in that the Hallowed Paths are those going back to the past. Map2 is full of really old places, in case nobody noticed. (Necrom, Dun Akafell, Kemel-Ze, Telvanni Library, etc)

Well, at least add the in front of Sacred East then... The Sacred East sounds better than plain Sacred East IMO :(

Name suggestions will keep coming unless the person responsible for names decides that he's the one the take decisions. If you're still unsure, I suggest we just name it Telvannis: Borderline and be done with it.

I won't agree here with you El Scum. Telvannis: Borderline would let people think that we don't release something new and big, but only an addon to what we have.

Technically, it is an add-on to our released work, as every map we'll release from now on. While I don't see a good reason to brainstorm like this, I'm suggesting something in an attempt to save us the headache for this and every other map; Name each map according to the house that controls the most of it. If a house controls more than two maps, we just use a 'part1' or 'part2', or something more distinctive, like Telvannis:Homeland (map1) and Telvannis:Borderline (map2). I know it's not the most satisfying solution, but neither is Sacred East, since people keep suggesting names. Maps as diversive in terms of territorial control as map2 are hard to name properly, so let's get the problem out of the way by following a simple solution. I don't claim that mine's the best, I'm just presenting an example of the way it could work.

Yes but the Tribunal temple is the defining political/cultural faction in map2 even though they arent necessarily the largest. Besides why call it Telvanni:Borderline when it can just as easily be Indoril:Borderline. I'd go for the faction that will make this map unique.

The Sacred East for me unless you just want Map 2: Velothi or something.
