Lonewolf's showcase

Post by Lonewolf »

Greetings! The name is Lonewolf. I've been modding for Morrowind for some 2-3 years, mostly creating exteriors and interiors. I always try to make them as realistic and lore-friendly as possible. I'm also good at dialogues, but, sadly, english is not my first language.
Here are some screens of an imperial castle I made. It's a large one, about the size of Ebonheart. I'm using Korana's dark imperial stone retexture.

Here's a screen of another castle. This one's older.

i agree, it is a bit empty. try adding barrels and crates, as well as other items to make it look like the castle is being lived in and used. judgng from the screens the design looks good though.

After a month of work, the castle is near completion.

It looks good, but the land around fort doesn't seem natural. Make it look more like an island, instead of just dropping off.

here is my review:

-first of all, focus on the landscape around the castle. the land should not drop off rapidly or be flat. add some detail, different textures, etc.
-the walls around the castle are facing the wrong way. the taller wall should face outwards from the castle and the walkway should be inside the castle (for protection reasons).
-the walls on one side of the bridge with the gate flicker where they overlap.
-the whole place needs a lot more detail. add crates and barrels to the inside of the fort. maybe add a training area or something too. basicaly make it more then just architectural statics and banners.

over all i liked the design of the castle, it was creative and generaly well done. adding more detail and working on the surounding land would earn you a promotion.
