i put some textures om it is this the right colour scheme
i also made it higher amount of faces up to 1250 faces now instead of 1000 it made a big difference to the leaves.

its OK,
In my opinion, you should have just used an alpha map on the petals, instead you wasted 900 polygons on those.
i think an Alpha on that would look better

We will not go with an alpha map. I personally think It will be a lot better to make a use of polies here. All you need to do now Fishcake is to put some textures on your mesh

Wow, the screenie looks awesome, but you're right, you have to put together the textures into one file. And I must admit, you used kinda wierd ones, but well, it's ok as long as it looks properly

hows, is this what you mean by in one file, wierd looking leaves in my view but the best i can do does look dried out. stupid program!!! the undo button doesnt work anymore and it hasnt worked for at least a month, really annoying each time i make a mistake i have to reopen the file again (i make a mistake, quit, do you want to save, NO, open again, wait to load, open file again, reapeat until you have done what you need to do)much like rinse and repeat.
still needs to be a .dds format and still more work i think but i dont know what a plant needs in oblivion (collision etc) i know about morrowind though its very simple.

Sorry, I have no idea how I missed this... Strange. Anyway, yes, it looks promising. Just make the whole leaves a bit mor yellow, and make another variation of this plant for additional variety. And oblivion is also very simple if you know how to do it for oblivion. Just try the CS Wiki for more info.

im back :) i sent aro a pm to apoligise for leaving without saying anything but anyway i back now. and claiming this (hopefully)
in my time away i have learnt MUCH about modelling and texturing. i have already remade the model completely because the old was a piece of crap and wasted poly. the new one is 1044 faces and has 0 triangles. and i have nearly finished uv unwrapping at this time.

never mind, i opened the mesh ^_^ 2088 tris, 1044 faces... looks pretty nice too... but it is kinda high above the count.
BTW. tris aren't bad. especially not in games. 99% of games need tris to run. unless you are animating, that doesnt matter much. Tris help lower the polycount, so you should make use of that. tris are your friend!

i hate tri's they cant work with me properly and they messy, how can they lower polycount if you need 2 tris to make a square

I've uploaded the file to the top of the claim. In the future could you take advantage of that? It is there for that purpose, and is more secure than uploading in a post. Also, don't neglect the percentage buttons!

the nif automatically converts to tris because morrowind and oblivion cannot render quads.
as to the lower polycount thing, thats mainly when you want to make a triangle shape (like the bottom of your flower-ish areas), you are adding an extra face when you convert to tris. (that may or may not make much sense, so sorry )

Polycount is good, IIRC. Because it is for oblivion. Could you make the flower even more yellow? Because that's the dominating color in Helkori.

ok i have reduced the polys to 1206 TRIANGLES and changed the flower to be a bit more yellow i dont know if it is yellow engough though. i uploaded it to the top part of the claim. when everyone else views it in nifskope is it really dark?
