Sorry for the delay, I'm always slow at starting new pieces . Here's a WIP (only 50 secs long, roughly) that you can all listen to and tell me what you think. I'm a little unsure as to where to go with it next (although something will probably come to me), and I think I should change the end of what I've done already because I think I'm getting a little carried away. What do you think?

Sounding good.
I think there are a couple of things you could do to make the peice sound a little more realistic. First of all, a little bit of dynamic swell within the lines and some rubato would be nice. I dont know if you know this- I only recently discovered it) but you can change how much each accellerando or retardando changes the tempo, perecentage wise- and by puting a buch of smaller ones you can get a more human sounding effect. The other thing is I think a more ritch reverb would help as well- but thats post ptoduction stuff anyway.
I dont know if this is good for Goldmoor, but it's deffinatly hammerfellish so we can use it. Can I get a second opion on if it's for Goldmoor?

EDIT: A really good start, I say I second Macar- I can be used for Goldmoor-but my problem lies in whether it be used as a town track or a explore - this is because it sounds like a night-time town track. If I had to pick, it would be explore- because when you compare it to HL, it doesn't seem that bouncy. I really like it!
Oh, and this is just a matter of taste, but I would change that trumpet entry to a horn entry
Good luck for finishing it

You, know, I didnt even consider that it could be town music. Infact, I think it works better as town music. Having played a lot of Oblivion lately (I Finaly got it!) I have noticed that the town music is actualy pretty calm compared to what I was immagining in my head. If anything it's a little folky, but I digress. Depending on hwere they peice ends up it can be either.

I think Hammerfell town music could be more lively than OB town music, but not to much more... If you think this would work well as town music I can steer it in that direction, I like the idea of night time town music, but I don't know if we are going to distinguish between night and day music.

Yeah, we arent going as far as adding special weather music, time of day, or anything else yet. In the unlikely even that we have writen all the standard music for Hammerfell (town, dungeon, and explore) then we might discuss other additional music that can be added. But for now lets focus on the immediate goal. Yes, OB music was a little sleepier- but I dont think this one is sleepy.

that's not what I'm suggesting- but yours and this one might sound disjunct back to back (I'll have to listen when I have the time.
Either way- both will be used, we just might have to put them in seperate regions.
