Shivering isles pwnd

Post by Johnthenewbiemodmaker »

I got Obilvion game of the year edition yesterday for the x-box360 and i entered shiveirng isles thinking it would be hard ? , it was for a bit but then I Decided on using a forst spell and it killed the majorirty of creatures with just one shot of a frost spell! and I fired an arrow with the womens tears at the gate keeper and used the frost spell and the game keeper fell after one shot of a frost spell and then i reloaded it to make sure it wasnt a glitch and he fell from just shot shots , and i reloaded it again and it was the same. and the same with every other creature, there all dying after one shot of a frost spell and so are some npc's.

(edited: sorry it wasnt finger of the mountain but it was a frost spell, they all die very quick in the shiver isles from frost spells . even npc's)

I liked the shivering isles as well. But I like the quests and exploring the ruins the best of it. Oh, and of course summoning that poor Haskill...

Finger of the mountain is indeed a wicked spell. Although as you keep levelling it may start to become less useful (unless it levels with you).

I loved Shivering Isles. Oblivion is a lot of fun, despite it's errors, I still play it, but recently I'm more interested in getting to grips with modding ints and exts.

Can you believe I got Shivering Isles in June and still haven't visited the place?

Aye, I get that. Took me ages to get round to Tribunal. In fact, I created a fighter to do the fighters guild with, did the entirety of the shivering isles, then got around to fighters guild which has been neglected for about a year and a half :D

Still. A fighter in Madness armor looks sooo bad ass. I prefer it to the daedric style, and with my expert armourer class I can make my madness armor just as effective as standard daedric.

I love this game when I'm not getting my ass kicked :P

I'd like Shivering Isles if it actually worked for me.

At first it replaced all the grass with some weird purple shit, and crashed shortly into playing. I tried all the patches and reinstalled a few times, still no luck.

Recently, I tried again. It seems to be working on a very base level (or not working at all), because I don't notice any graphical glitches...problem is, the quest never activates. Ever.

Of course, I've never gotten a response on the official forums.

Uninstall, reinstall, and start a new character.

If your grass textures turned into some blue weird thing, my guess is that you used OBMM in a wrong way. It has happened to me as well. If that's not the case, then either Sheogorath's trying to drive you mad, or you really need to reinstall the game!

*semi-necro*

I've reinstalled several times. Tried it with mods, without them, with patches, without patches, etc. Never worked.
