Errtu's Concept Art
Going to post any of my concepts here, I guess.
Quickie of a temple or palace: Link. Are we looking for this kind of thing? I could do other views and make it look better, if so.
Edit: spelling

Yes, we are looking, me thinks. Maybe someone from the core knows precisely. Check out this section to see what's needed http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewforum.php?f=209

Yeah, Aro, you're linking him to the Modders only section for Objects. Can you find some rlevant things in Models and Textures? I think that's open to the public.

Sorry, that haven't logged since 2005 talk made me think you were promoted And it looks, like you're not. I didn't even look at your tag. Why don't you showcase your stuff? Considering architecture, we need for example:
Hammerfellian Windmill
Mages Guild for Goldmoor
Goldmoor Fighters Guild
Goldmoor Bridge.
For the guilds you could use a slighty modified design of the MCs. Or addons for a MC house, that would make it a guild.
This is our UC design:

That's a bit untypical idea. But it might work. We wouldn't have to make a new building, only the part in the middle. And that's good, because we have more than enough MCs variations. All I'm worrying about is it reminds me of the imperial city a bit too much. Any ideas how to change it? Could you also precise your idea for the column? But all in all, it's good

Do we have any "MC" columns?
Edit: Which reminds me...I'd like to have modders access again. I used to be a modder (check my oooold upload, lol), and I can't really design architecture to certain parameters without knowing what those parameters are beforehand! Even just getting a general feel of things would be better than a few pictures, for designing new things (unless, of course, all we have is those few pictures).

Actually, you left before the modder system was implimented, so you were never actually promoted.Dreadmaster Errtu wrote:Which reminds me...I'd like to have modders access again. I used to be a modder

We have so columns inplemented into the MCs, as you can see on the screenshots. Since you're some kind of an old member that used to be around, I'm not the one to judge if you can be promoted from this point...

The palace is a nice example, although it leaves me curious (which is a good thing ).
Would this be a four-sided building, or is this only one facet (like from an octagonal building) of a larger image? The fish fountain is a nice touch, but by the look of the building, would they have access to water this way? I'm not at all informed how fountains worked back in the day, anyhow.

It would have been four-sided with towers at each corner. Probably rectangular with an open area somewhere (those were all the rage for ancient architects ) As for the water, it could have had a below-ground water system, depending on how complicated people wanted it to be. Even the (wealthier) Romans had water systems below their baths and such.
Anyway, I want to design more stuff (clothing, different buildings, etc), but I'm not sure what my limits are.

It looks just fine. But we should make the MC6s here even more fighters guild specific. Maybe you have any ideas what could be added to the building to give it the right feel?

This is huge. No, sorry. I meant H.U.G.E. huge. We need something smaller (pretty much in the scale of the UC reference building) and without roman columns. I have to admit the palace concept was a much better work. If I was to give an advice, I'd only say to avoid working with cut-and-paste technics and sketch a vague image of the Fighters Guild that will satisfy you. Then you can work out the rest, like the details on the walls.

Ok, so I didn't do any rocks or caves (yet) because a quick google search might be better inspiration than what I could draw. As for containers, there are some here, do we need things similar to those or entirely unique?
Also, have some cacti: Link
Edit: tweaked picture a bit (yeah, the one in the lower right still looks like crap)

Very very good.
Simplistic and useful, which is what any Redguard wants. I like seeing that a certian amoutn of knowledge or research has gone into it. It's a classic arabic clothign design, which has somehow been overlooked until now.

Let me answer your container question. What we got now are some wooden barrels and clay containers. This is the concept that has been made:
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/1872/hammerfellcontainersje0.jpg
We have now just enough of wooden barrels and clay containers. What we propably would like to have are some other type of containers that redguards could use. Maybe you could give us some chests, cascets? Some expensive ones maybe.

Too much wood for a lower class I believe, since wood is quite expensive in Hammerfell. But I really would love to see a highly detailed version of this BTW, this is our LC furniture:

I don't get it...you say it has too much wood, but the thread you linked doesn't?
Besides, a chest made out of reeds would be really lame...I could fit it into the design, but it would be positively useless for keeping people out. Though if this is just a utility chest, and isn't meant for keeping stuff safe, I suppose that would be fine.

we used reeds to make the furniture have wood, but wood in a small quantity. (you have to see the latest posts of course, becouse in the earlier posts I did not yet add reeds to the model) so in comparisment to size, the furniture has less wood than your chest. About using reeds on a chest: I dont think its lame at all. A chest made out of reeds can be as strong as a chest made out of plain wood, but that all depends on the type of wood used. So I see no problem to use reeds with chests that are supposed to keep a thieve's hand out.

Hey. Well, I'm not sure about the UC thingie. El Scum never uploaded anything besides the basic wall sketch. Details here http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=17083&start=40
What we need is some door, windows, etc. parts that could be put together with these. So later on we can construct from them complete UC houses. I got some of old uc (scratched) concepts if you need something as inspiration.
