New Showcase of CrazedOne

Post by CrazedOne »

Ok my other thread was kinda getting messed up, i want to try i whole new area of TR. I'm not very good at it, as I'm not even sure really how to start with the program I am using. I am trying to start modeling with a 3D drawing program from google called Google SketchUp. I dont even know if this program will work for what you need but i'll post my only decent thing on here. It isnt medieval themed, it isn't smooth looking, and it kinda looks like crap, but oh well. Tell me what you think. well nvm, the file cant load....... lock the thread or delete it, i guess i'm no use

I'm no pro an 3d-modeling but when I got interested and wanted to try it I downloaded Blender. It was supposed to be one of the best (free) out there. I realise that this probably had nothing to do with why the file can't load but...
However I don't think that Google program is too good, with Blender you can Import and Export nif files (those used in TES, well, at least Morrowind) with the right plug-in.

You can use Blender and Google Sketch Up. Just do whatever suits you.
Blender is a complete free professional modelling tool. Just do some tutorials to know how it works. And with the nif exporters you can get your work directly into the right format.
Google sketch up is a very intuitive software. Very good for architecture. It appears in two versions. The free version is a bit poorer and has almost none export options. But you can export the file into the google earth format and then import it into blender. I believe, never tried that... With the payed version you get a more advanced tool with more export options, but still you won't be able to export directly into the nif format.

Good luck :)
PoHa: how can we best this trio of trouble? who will save us from this menace of sub-par models? what will we do?
PoHa: I know! we'll shoot an Aro at them
Aro: you have only one Aro missile!
PoHa: yes, but its heat seeking and quite possibly indestructible

Word of warning before you mess around with blender, blender has a fairly complex GUI so you may spend more time than you bargained for learning how to use it.
Sometimes when you do a job badly enough, you won't be asked to do it again.
