Neoptolemus' Showcase

Post by Neoptolemus »

Hey everyone

I was active here a LONG time ago, back in the day when Rodan and Ender were running things. I made a heap of interiors and NPCs for Map 1, and a few for Map 2 in Darconis, plus a couple of caves and ruins, and some shacks for Map 5. I also wrote 'What Happened at Drakehold', 'Arkhon Lim' and 'How I Became a Monster' (which I'd quite like to edit and resubmit at some point - some of the writing is a little dodgy in places).

I've released a few mods of my own, the most well-known being 'Morrowind Comes Alive'. I can do pretty much anything in the Morrowind construction set - interiors, landscaping, NPCs, pathgrids, scripting etc. I'm also reasonably familiar with NifSkope, so can do a bit of mesh editing as well. The only things I can't do are 3D modelling and texturing (aside from basic recolouring and cut/paste jobs). I'm still a n00b with the Oblivion CS, but I only want to help out with the Morrowind stuff anyway.

If you want to see some screens of my NifSkope work check these threads:

There's also some shots of my landscaping skillz in the last one.

I'm particularly interested in helping detail the exteriors, and maybe do a few interiors and NPCs on the side. So yeah. If you think I've got the skillz, sign me up and give me something to do. ;)

I see some nicestuffs there. The Undead is my favourite. If you'd like to do such a type of editing of some creatures for oblivion, just let me know :) But suit yourself and good luck with detailing, interior making etc. first :)

BTW, all the books you mentioned have been translated to polish and released in a localized version of map1.

PoHa: I know! we'll shoot an Aro at them
Aro: you have only one Aro missile!
PoHa: yes, but its heat seeking and quite possibly indestructible

Thanks. :)

That's pretty cool that my books have been translated to Polish. ;)

I guess I could try my hand at mesh editing for Oblivion, though I've only ever done TES3 meshes. But I suppose all the principles are the same.

Those books also are pretty cool. I didn't have to check if they were translated, I had a good memory of those names.

And yes, the principles stayed the same with the new engine. Though, it only became a bit more complicated on some areas. But I believe you'd easily handle that. So, just ask, and I'm gonna find something interesting. We could together think about what we can get as well.

Welcome back, Neoptolemus.
I don't suppose you could use your MCA skillz to help out with questmaking? There's plenty to be done....

I am familiar with your NPC/Pathgridding/Scripting/Interior work, as well as your past work with TR, so Member Promoted for all that stuff.

Welcome back to TR :-)

Thanks Haplo. :)

Ludovic: Questmaking is actually about the only thing I haven't done much of. ;) But I'd be happy to help with scripting and writing dialogue.

Questmaking = writing stories + scripting + writing dialogue

So I'm sure you'll be more than able to handle it ;)
I'd be interested to hear your insights on how to make the countryside seem more alive. Perhaps you have some ideas for the judicious use of levelled lists?

Yeah, the Drakehold one was even translated by me. It's quite cool and I had a long discussion about translation and grammar issues, so I remember it well too.
