What are we up to? [Oblivion]

Post by Lady Nerevar »

Backed by popular demand, here is our project showcase thread for Oblivion. As you should know, we are currently making Hammerfell for the TES4 engine. This thread is to show off the latest progress of the mod and to give those without Modder privileges something to look at. This thread will be updated by modders, but I will still be making updates on the BSF with new information and screenshots.

Check back often, and feel free to browse the rest of the forums. There is lots of good stuff here besides the sexy screens :)

On the Sound and Music department, we currently have 2 explore tracks and one town track completed! Both Macar and Small Porgies have WIP's on the table so it is only a matter of time untill we have reached the first of our desireable goals, to have 5 explore tracks for Goldmoor.

For more information visit:
http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=18528
(The 3 completed tracks are available for download in Macar's first post)
Macar: At last, I have a coleague to work with.

Fishcake: Those weapons look really good! One thing though...unless i'm missing something... the blade in the top 2 shots looks like its just resting on the handel but isn't actually attached to shaft or hilt or whatever its called ;)

The weapons do look great, the only thing I might say is that the texture on the... uh... little gray dots on the weapons could be changed to something other than a solid color. It kind of detracts from the rest of the texture as is.

one of the things i have been working on model wise is bringing the stirk weapons in game. while they were all made a long time ago, we ran into quite a few problems with exporting and actualy adding them in (because the makers are no longer with us). i am almost done, here is a wip screen of the coral mace :)

Very well put together music so far, along with everything else I've seen in here.

I must say, I'm impressed.

Google 'texturing samples' or 'texture websites' or even 'texture archives' to find some good free textures. If you need the Morrowind textures, you'll have to buy the game.

Actually, yes! This is just a dip of the toe into the pool of progress lately, but it's certainly among the most exciting to see. Screenshots of the city of Rihad (WIP), by Nemon:

(AND just so everyone knows; there are lots of errors still with these models, the screenshots and work is just to see how the city will look; the finished models will be much better ;))

wow these new shots are fantastic! I love how the textures have that old, beaten and worn look, similar to the vanilla cities. I personally like the look of the lamps. I think they could look great when they are properly textured.

Very good; Stros M'Kai looks simply amazing even only on that default Bethesda map that we know from years: definitely it may add a lot of content to Hammerfell. :)
Go for it!

What more can I say ? The mod, even as an idea is BRILLIANT ! I won't stop playing oblivion, even when it will be obsolete (TES V age maybe) once I get my hands on this mod. I can imagine..... me sailing with my ship, Bella Moretta around Hammerfell, to Sentinel and visiting Stirk, Stros M'Kai and any of the seaside cities on the way ... Please, keep up the mod, don't ever let it die !!! Good Luck :D

Gone, but not necessarily forgotten.

I've been semi-present, floating around for concepts and reading up on threads, and pumping out a few new models here and there in my spare time. Morden and I have been playing around with various clutter lately.

Yayz! Eyeball is still semi-transparent... I mean, present!

... and is that, could it be, a Yoku God Mask??

(not to detract from the other stuff, which also looks spiffy; please, for the love of Mora, upload those!)

Also, we could never forget Eyeball! You're like that mystery meat they serve in the cafeteria; we'll never quite know what's in you, but you don't taste bad when drenched in BBQ sauce from home and eaten in small portions.

It's a lower-poly version intended for decorative purposes, instead of a higher-poly mask that could be worn, or whatever they do with masks over there.

I only just signed up and I think this looks great! I've always wanted to travel to the other provinces on TES4, I'm afraid I do not own TES3. Those pics of hammerfell look good. Am I right in saying that Morrowind is being worked on for Morrowind (TES3)? Is this because you can only travel to certain parts of Morrowind in the game? I recently downloaded the Oblivion CS, I found it a bit difficult. I looked at your tutorials and they all seemed to refer to Morrowind, or do the tutorials apply to both?

I really like the look of this and am very excited, I thought I may have to wait for Elder Scrolls V to travel to multiple provinces, or later. The provonces also look high quality and I like the music alot. I'm also wondering why there is a status report on Morrowind and not Hammerfell? Is this because Hammerfell is so far away from completion?

This looks brilliant in short, and I'd appreciate answers to my questions if you would. Gooday, or Goodnight, whatever part of the world your in. Its Night in England. Ta Ta.
