Hi Kakarot

Couple of questions regarding our common border!

About that river I was asking you about...sorry, it's in 3-1, not your claim.

You give me a challenge in the NW corner, with those ruins in a deep valley right on the border! :) I was thinking of adding a tower or two on my side also, but this might make things too complicated in joining the claims later....probably I'll just seal that valley from the north and try to match your elevations.

Let me know what you decide about the plant life, so I can do the same in my highlands...

Well, I'm still waiting for Rodan's reply,
so you'll here about it as soon as I've read his reply.

P.S. There is a river NE of my claim that I haven't done yet in the claim you can download. So that means that we still have to work things out on that 'problem'. I'm sending in my claim as soon as I've finished it, well almost finished it, so we can discuss about the river.

P.S.2: Maybe you can add some more Daedric ruin south of your claim, so that it connects to mine. My part of the Daedric ruin isn't big, and I don't think that the size it is now is good.

P.S.3: Don't worry about joining claims. The one(s) doing the joining do a fine job.

Missed that post, sorry. Use what you think is best, take a look at 3-1 as see what L_G used for plantlife.

Thanks Rodan.
I already downloaded an early version of 3-1, so
I'm going to check it out. If that version of the mod doesn't have plantlife or doesn't have enough plantlife, I'm going to check the West Gash cells in the original Morrowind game to see what plantlife I have to you.

P.S.: Foxtamer: I'll put another post in this thread when I know what plantlife to use, so you can use that plantlife too.

Is that the river that runs up into my claim? It's hard to tell on the map, but I thought it just stopped before it got to your border. So I ran the river down to almost your border, and then created a couple of springs in a hillside.

But if you will run the river into your claim, I'll run mine down to the border.
Maybe you can add some more Daedric ruin south of your claim, so that it connects to mine.
Ok, I will.

A couple of other questions:

1) Your claim is the one with the graveyard, right? What's the idea behind it? I have a small settlement of farms along that river we've been talking about, and I was wondering if I should run a small track into your claim....or is the graveyard a place people would rather avoid?

2) Could you let me know what texture you plan to use for the bottom of that river? I've been using sand_02.

It's fine by me if you don't want to extend the river. You can do it if you want, but it will save us some time if you don't extend it.

answer to question 1: There is no story behind the graveyard. At least not yet. I'm only doing the exterior remember, and I'm not the one who is making the interiors (yet) :D
About the track: If you want you can just put it there and let me know so I can make it too.

answer to question 2: Well, in my river west of my claim I'm using sand_02 also (I think), but even if I wasn't that doesn't matter. If you decide to extend the river that runs into my claim (or if you don't extend the river it won't) I will use sand_02.

I won't extend the river then, and keep it simple. I won't add a track either, since I bet your graveyeard area is shunned, not touristed! :)

As for the flora, in the highlands I've been using the same things I found in a survey of West Gash: Roobrush, Keshweed, Bittergreen, and Stoneflower.

That'll be the flora I'm using. I saw it myself when I was running the construction set. So that's all settled then.

Update:
Didn't have much time (had 3 tests this week plus I had to finish... well something for my Dutch class (I don't know what it is in English)), so I only got time to make a few posts and add only a few things.
Until Christmas I will have three tests waiting for me, so don't have alot of time then also.

Today in my country it's Saint Nicolas (something like Santa Claus), but in the Netherlands Saint Nicolas (in Dutch spelled as 'Sint Nicolaas') is more popular. I know this is nothing of importance put I thought I should tell. I'm away all day tomorrow because of that.

Early update, because I won't be able to post anything tomorrow or in the weekend. Maybe on Sunday, but I'm not sure:

Well, I think at least 3 cells are completely finished now. That wasn't hard to do, just a few rocks and trees and shading. It's not going very fast. I think it's because it's my first claim and I want it to be very good you know. Well as good as it can get. You can't expect alot from a wilderness claim.

Update:
Well, now that my vacation started I will have a lot of time. But I've not made any progress since last update. Sorry. :(

Now that I'm a reviewer I will have less time for my claim after the vacation, so I hope to finish it in this vacation. I'm about to start reviewing Ranyon-Ruhn so...

Well, you did have comments on my Ranyon-Ruhn review, so if I need to do every review twice, it will take a long time :P

I'm sorry that I didn't post an update in time. I had a problem connecting to the forum. Rodan told me by e-mail that it wasn't just me. But as I only read his reply this morning I didn't know it was a 'global' problem. So I have been busy trying to find out what went wrong until two days ago. I thought it was some kind of virus.

But anyway: it's solved now so I should stop talking about it. As you might have guessed: the mod isn't ready before the end of the vacation, so you will have to be patient once more.

Update:
Not much progress. I started reviewing the Dragon Glade interiors I was assigned too. And I got the new Star Wars RPG (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), so I played it for some time to check it out. I hope no one is mad about that. And now that the vacation is over I will have less time as usual.

Update:
I'm currently working on redoing the vertex shading that has been done. I wasn't happy with the way it was done before. Since last update I've been busy redoing the textures, cause I wasn't happy with some of the textures also. That doesn't mean I'm done with the rest. I'm just busy with something else.
I'm still far from finished.

Update:

Well, all that there is to know is that I'm still working on redoing all the vertex shading in my claim that had already been done.

To give you an example of what I think was wrong: All the new objects I placed since I claimed this claim were vertex shaded with 100,100,100 (What I mean by that is that you can change the color of the vertex shading tool and that I used 100 for all three colors on every object.) Well, I wasn't happy about that, so I'm fixing that at the moment by looking what Bethesda used for the vertex shading for all sorts of objects (trees, small rocks, big rocks, etc.)
It's going to take a while. I've already been busy a week and I'm still not even half finished. School time you know.

Changes

Post by Kakarot »

Update:
Same as last week.

But...........
As you might all know I was very little on the forum and I have had very little progress in this claim. But that is going to change :D That's because I got my new DSL internet connection (verrrrrrry fast :D ), so I can internet as much as I want. And that is also because from February 1st till at least the beginning of March I will have more free time.

:D :D :D :D :D

update:
Well, from now on I will have more free time as I already told you, but first I will put that time in my reviewing assignments, so progress will still be limited.

Update:

Well, I've tried to finishing vertex shading my claim, but that is not entirely finished and now I really have to start on those reviewing assignments. So maybe I'll have it done by next week, maybe not. But now I really should spend time doing those reviewing assignments.

Update:

Well, unlike I said, I just finished the vertex shading of my claim, instead of putting my time on my reviewing assignments. But now that that's finished I will no longer work on this claim until my current reviewing assignments are complete, which may take a while, cause I really want those assignments done.
