Didn't you ever think to use stuff which other users allready had made?

I think your should contact the author of this mod and then use it in your great progect. That will help you in progress of TR!

whoa. . . calm down. if we were to start several pronvinces at once there would be no hope for us to finish. the modders would be given far to much to work with and to organize it would be extremely difficult. and if we were to start a new province now before morrowind was even finished then we would be slowed down even further. plus i think we should make the city ourselves so it would be unique to TR (i also want to work on it a little myself )

Rsawarhawk has let me take over the refinement of the City.
I'm here asking what might need to be changed, moved, etc to make this at least a potential city for TR.
If its placement doesn't work, I've located TESFaith, which can moved an entire landmass in 9 commands.
Please let me know what I can do to help here!

Kwiteeksich, your enthusiasm is good. Now, I'm not an admin or a moderator but this is what I think needs to be done before the city could be considered for TR (this would be A LOT of work):
1. Architecture-- The whole city needs some brand spanking new architecture. Something that would be unique to Cyrodiil alone. Something glorious and awe-inspiring.
2. Ummm...okay, so I can't think of a two. But number one will probably keep you occupied until we actually get to Cyrodiil. I'm betting that you could indeed gather up a team of interested modellers from the TES forums and make the aforementiond architecture.
I'd PM Rodan about it if I were you. He would consider your request fairly and without too much bias.

The reason to why we shouldn't work on several provinces at the same time is fairly simple:
We want to release one province at the time. If we wait for all of Tamriel to be finished, there wont be much of a community left to release it too. And, simply mainland Morrowind alone is a lot larger then Vvardenfell. That is, a lot of play time will be added, just by the addition of one province. Which is why it would be logical to release the province one at the time. Which is why it is also logical to only focus at one province.

and The construction of Cyrodill will require layouts and plans submission to the core team ...also it won't start till the imperial province is fully claimed

Perhaps i have nothing to say about this but:
I think it should be more Fort Moonmoth etc. like style, and a little bit Roman perhaps, seen the fact that the armors etc. are a bit Roman as well, just a thought1. Ah, Cyrodil. I believe that as for new cities, add lots of 1-4 cell towns along and near the river, and between valenwood and hammerfell; but remember over half the province is just jungle (To put it another way- Majra, Gimli, And myself will be in heaven ).

Really the fort structure would just be one of several styles that would need to be incorporated to create Cyrodiil.
As for porting the city from another mod to ours I don't think it would be worth it for you to try to do. However if you want to the bigest thing would be all the structures needed.
In addition to useing whats already in the game you would basically need to create the game again (Which if you look at vvardenfell with the new architecture weapons and creatures is basically what we've done and what we will continue to do with each new province. I think that the city should be Huugungus!!! like Gigantic!!! like Massive!!! you see what im saying. If it's the only city, it should be huge! Also isn't there something about Dragons flying around the golden tower or whatever it's called? I think that the city should not be sluffed off. Alot of time should be spent on the city, and it should be so big that you could get lost very easily!

All white Marble walls and Golden columns and statues, The Great Adamantine tower, made of gold, white marble and crystal transparencies with reflection mappings , waterfalls and concentric rings of canals , bridges that connects the different sectors, and in the center the forbdden city of the emperor with the Adamantine tower dominating in the very center of it....
All around nice country side and nobl'es villas with roads leading to all the provinces of the continent....
I think that it should be about 25 cells 5x5......

man I would love to be the architect for cyrodil! I'm going to start right now...it'll probably take me so long to finish we'll be half-way through skyrim when I present it to the core!

I believe you mean the Golden Tower.
However, for cyrodiil I already have a good idea for the city layout. I'll try to make a proposal for the city's layout in photoshop.

When Magic (Magnus), architect of the plans for the mortal world, decides to terminate this project, the Gods convene at the Adamantine Tower (Direnni Tower, the oldest known structure in Tamriel) and decide what to do.
As for the city men please leave it be it is very much premature to think about it , we have skyrim befoure so is useless to plan everything also becouse evryone will have ideas .... and many would like to work on it .... so when time will be , Probably after Skyrim and after I will make the map of the region and in this special case due to the size , of the city too , only then should begin the work on this .....

well prom no offense but I think it's selfish of you to say that you automatically get to claim the map of the city just because it's the biggest in cyrodiil and you did the map for cyrodiil. I think everyone who wants to do the city layout should do one, then upload it here, and the core will pick whichever one fits best.

Well i have ideas too but for such city i think the more ideas there are the better it is.... I see it not as a multy poarty modding team but as a planned and directed team to follow a precise scheme studied much befoure on the chart....

I would imagine cyrodil should look pretty well planned anyways. Perhaps the city is layed out in the shape of a dragon with all the government buildings occupying the head section of the city. As the city grows new segements are added to the leading edges of the wings.

According to the Pocket guid it takes up pretty much the entire island that it's on and you can't see where the city ends and the palace begins:
"From the shore it is hard to tell what is city and what is Palace, for it all rises from the islands of the lake towards the sky in a stretch of gold. Whole neighborhoods rest on the jeweled bridges that connect the islands together. Gondolas and river-ships sail along the watery avenues of its flooded lower dwellings."
Also it's not the only city in Cyrodiil, in Arena you could hardly go anywhere, just the main settlements:
'Refayj's famous declaration, "There is but one city in the Imperial Province,--" may strike the citizens of the Colovian west as mildly insulting, until perhaps they hear the rest of the remark, which continues, "--but one city in Tamriel, but one city in the World; that, my brothers, is the city of the Cyrodiils." Moth-priests walk by in a cloud of ancestors; House Guards hold exceptionally long daikatanas crossed at intersections, adorned with ribbons and dragon-flags; and the newly arrived Western legionnaires sweat in the humid air. The river mouth is tainted red from the tinmi soil of the shore, and river dragons rust their hides in its waters. Across the lake the Imperial City continues, merging into the villages of the southern red river and ruins left from the Interregnum.'
Besides which we know of at least 4 other major cities in Cyrodiil, the port of Anvil, and 3 cities in the west, Sutch, Kvatch, and Skingrad we don't know of the Nibenesse cities because the map that came with Redguard didn't go that far so it's unlikely to be entirely jungle.

I imagine that the whole area between city and morrowind/black marsh will be jungle, though. Basically all around the city, except the south - thats the most populated area, apart from colovia.

Violent is right on one thing , The imperials have much hin common with ancient rome and so the structures should take inspiration by that , of course like the skyrim buildingsa I made aren't really viking so the Cyrodiillian buildings woin't be really TRoman , but with a great inspiration from it....
and for the rest of the city I definetly thing that a Roman style Greek style Atlantiuc like city is in order here.....

yeah thats absolutley what i wanted to say!
They have many things in common with the Romans like the emperor is some sort of god and that they have many gods for different things and of course the Legions!
Of course the style shouldnt be Roman but it should be influenced by the Roman style because i think Bethesda was also inspired by the Roman Empire!
