how many poly?
what is down the bottom does the stem just go straight into the ground?
does the second variation have only one flower or can it have one flower and a flower not opened yet?

Polies should propably be around 600 - 1600.
Yes, it goes straight to the ground.
The second variation is up to you. Choose whatever suits you better.

heres a render of what ive done and a wire render:
it has 1550 triangles came pretty close to the limit. no texture yet but what do you think

The leaves should be done with an alpha map. The mesh would be more simple and the leaf shape with would be defined be texture transparency. Have a look at other finished plants to see how it works :)

Looking nice, but...
The top flower you made have 5 petals now, it should be 4. 2 larger ones and 2 thinner, look at the concept.

ahh yes i see i thought that it looked unatural to be symetrical like that. but i guess that is the concept.

If you have a look at IRL flowers you will see that they too are symetrical or follow rules of symetry.

here we are:
i fixed up the petals
i didnt use an alpha map for the leafs but i did for the furry part under the flower. i didnt use it on the leafs because they needed the polys to get the curve of them anyway. but the polys have been cut down to 958 triangles by using double sided textures. (i dare hope the work in ob) what do you think
also can we have normal maps on plant because this is very boring looking without a normal map.

A better question would be "can we not have normal maps" because as far as I know a texture without the complementary normal map is a texture that will simply not be rendered by Oblivion...

Polies can be shown on both sides. PoHa told me how to do it once... I don't remember what had to be changed, but that can be switched easily, so don't worry :) Good job.

The texture looks good. I have a problem with the normal map though. It isn't recognized properly and uses some different settings. (The normal map should be sort of blue, not yellow.)

The plant should be more brown... A lot more... Please follow the concept.

Leaves are still made wrong. Take a look at the mesh I uploaded for you to get what I mean. The shape should be defined by the alpha channel, not by the mesh.

Yes, the mesh and the texture work better together now :) The color is still too far from the concept though.

make the petals more purplish and the stem more brownish-but-not-too-brown-only-slightly-brownish.

(purplish that word makes me smile, and if you did'nt understand more purple and brown...ish.)

you are not allowed to claim since you are not yet a modder. Post the files you've made in your showcase and hopefully you will get promoted for them.
