PoHa: how can we best this trio of trouble? who will save us from this menace of sub-par models? what will we do?
PoHa: I know! we'll shoot an Aro at them
Aro: you have only one Aro missile!
PoHa: yes, but its heat seeking and quite possibly indestructible

I apologize for not paying much attention to this thread, exams were taking up most of my time. However, now that they are out of the way, here's some more stuff.

For starters, here is the redesigned tower:

For the final design, I'll make the snake more Yokuish.

Some wips. They are already outdated a bit though :/ Anyway, I think I can handle it. I'm only struggling with the top part of the palace like addon. As you can see, it will be quite modular.

I did a few sketches for a layout on a palace, now i know the color scheme is off, but the design is more what i was looking at

Hey, I thought I'd have ago at making this my main project to do some Concept work for.
Just to make sure the thoughts I've got in my head are the same style as what is needed I've roughed up a 10min sketch of the gates.

Is this the kinda Goldmoor style you're looking for?
Let me know and I'll get stuck into it ^_^

Style seems accurate. I'd say go for it.

I have aesthetic problems with that blend of imperial and redguard styles, especially on the wall sets. I'm sure it's all accurate from the lore aspect, but they just don't look good. They are mostly just imperial style walls with golden domes on the towers. The color scheme: dark gray and gold, it doesn't match. Maybe the domes should have a bronze color instead of gold, and the walls more of a brown tint instead of pure gray.

I will see if I can make some drawings for a Goldmoor Castle that will work with other imperial elements than just stone walls. Meanwhile, here is a quick sketch loosely based on an Arabic fort.

I drew this as an idea of how an old redguard palace could look when it has suffered imperial-style restoration and addition. Important is still that the color scheme matches and doesn't look weird. It's still pretty rough, but if you still need art for this and think I'm close to the right idea I can elaborate and make more detailed designs.

I'm not sure. It was mostly needed by Aro, who has since left active service. (Something about needing more time for extrareconstructotamrielar activities.) Since I don't manage Oblivion meshes nor exterior modding, I don't know if what's in is enough or not. I'm going to go on a limb and say this isn't needed anymore...

what we need is individual tileset pieces that can be snapped onto the fort, such as windows or balconies or something. curently Aro has modeled a large for piece, a row of windows, a doorjamb, and a fancy tower. they can be seen in the claims thread if you have a way of viewing nifs (a modeling program, nifskope, or the CS)

either way, i think the pieces are pretty much designed already, so i believe this thread is out of date.

the palace designs do look nice though. the walls arent nearly that dark ingame btw.
