I did those twice. First was lower, second was averaged at 135. Don't remember the first average.

Low SATs though... I only scored 1830 on mine.

I have no idea what is SAT. But at the age of 15 I got 48 in a test that is made here when you end one type of school and go to the higher level. Maximum was 50, average 32.

Oh, and my IQ is 144 (tested by a psychologist, because I have dyslexia).

I love you Sload :)

Nice one Sload!

I'm a B person, I get a grade B in just about everything, even in my degree where I got a 2.1 (which is the second grade, of 4). I'm awesome at essays but suck in exams.

I have to say though, I was taught in my degree that IQ tests weren't wholly accurate a measure of a person's intelligence, but it's the only popular popular one, so people still use it :P.

Well, ultimately it's a test of how well people can answer the questions on the test the way the designers intended them to. Of course the question is how well does that correlate to intelligence in real life. And considering how well defined that is... well, it's probably not all that possible to make a test that actually scores "intelligence".

Although one interesting thing to note is that they have to readjust the IQ test every few years to take into account the fact that the average score is getting higher. Now, this doesn't mean that people are necessarily, or even probably, getting more intelligent. Many people think that as society has become more urban and modern, people are now more disposed to think in more abstract terms that are more suitable for understanding and answering the questions on the test.

For example, when testing more rural and less civilized people for intelligence, anthropologists asked some people to sort a set of items into the proper categories. Now most people in modern society would put all the tools together, all the food items together, and so on and so forth. But what these studies found was that many less modern people would instead put things into groups like potato, knife pot, or axe, wood, as that way you could boil some potatoes and chop some wood. They were grouping things so that you could do something with them, instead of by some abstract category. It was just a different way of thinking.

Anway, back to the actual topic...

Nice work Sload, I take it you've managed to endure high school then and not make it out in too bad a shape? You got any plans on where to go next, applied to any colleges? Or are you going to take some time off to assess your situation? Or do you have some other master plan cooking?

Sounds like me a bit- not quite as extreme, but I definatly had low grades and high test scores. There are colleges out there that will look at that and see the truth: Here is a smart person who the school system failed.
