Morrowind Creature Sounds

Hey guys,

I noticed Gez's sig about the Morrowind creature sounds, and was just curious if it still needed doing?

I've experience in making creature sounds, I made the Herne and Gargoyle for the Oblivion Lore Creaure mod. I also made sounds for the Dwemer Spider and Frost Giant, but work had pretty much ended on the mod before I had chance to finish them.

If someone could add the specifics to the sound claims, such as what the creature is and and might sound like, and tech specifics such as required format and bit-rate, I'd be glad to lend a hand.

If it wasn't needed anymore, I'd change the signature or remove it.

Basically, all creature sounds suck and they all need to be changed. They're mostly public domain lion roars passed in reverse and accelerated or slowed down, so it's laughable. Just listen to them. There's what, 35 sound files in Data Files\Sounds\TR\r\. They can be put into 13 claims:

1. Daedric Bat
2. Dres Bug
3. Dridrea
4. Explodo
5. Fish swim
6. Molecrab
7. Mouse
8. Muskfly
9. Ornada
10. Parastylus
11. Riverstrider
12. Troll
13. Vermai

The Muskfly is especially atrocious because it continues buzzing for quite some time after having finished dying. As it is now, it uses the standard "flies" sound that is put on corpses... Atrocious.

The elephant 'troll' is the most lollerific (and the entire creature ain't much better either). Thankfully trolls don't show up in our maps yet.

I'd have thought that some simple public domain animal roars would be passable, as long as they're not blatantly real-world creatures (elephant 'troll').

I have use some pub domain sounds , along with my own, although I usually remix them quite a bit so they sound unique and consistent with each other.
