I am in the progressing of writing a book titled Cyrus the Restless and the Wedding of Hakan and Iszara I want to describe the ceremonies as best that I can, but I'm not sure where I should go with it.
Generally how would a wedding play out in Hammerfell? Sentinal in particular, since the wedding is for Hakan and Iszara.

Make it up, probably. Two people get hitched, it's pretty universal. Why are you writing like 50 different versions of the same book?

Well, I mean it does vary with different cultures, and I didn't know if we already had something in concrete.Haplo wrote:Make it up, probably. Two people get hitched, it's pretty universal.
What do you mean? I thought I told you each story is a different volume of a series. ("Cyrus the Restless and...")Why are you writing like 50 different versions of the same book?
By giving them unique titles you imply they are different stories, which they really are not. There is a difference between a book released in chapters, such as how Charles Dickens did it, which is a good way, and a series where each chapter says absolutely nothing.
Even changing the titles would be an improvement, keeping a consistent overarching title and then implying they are different chapters released episodically. That is indeed how books have been published in the past.
Anyway back to weddings, decide a few things.
Who performs the ceremonies?
What do the vows entail?
What little quirks signify the rite?
Looking at the comic we can see some old man performing the ceremony, which is held within a circle. The whole ceremony seems 'purple' themed...purple carpet (possibly very ritualistic...your first steps are along this path), purple scarf on the person performing the ceremony, purple clothing...etc.
Now who might that old man be? We leap for Priest, but he could just as easily be a Magistrate, or a Knight.

I thought that was how I was doing it. What am I doing wrong then? Should I from now on name them "Cyrus the Restless: Vol. 1, etc, etc"? Sorry, I'm just sort of confused.Jale wrote: Even changing the titles would be an improvement, keeping a consistent overarching title and then implying they are different chapters released episodically. I told you to write one book about those 8 pages and instead you decided to write 1 book about each page. Please refrain from writing more books based on the same non-events because the first one you wrote was more than satisfactory.
