A Fond Farewell
Sheesh. I guess its no surprise that I couldn't go out without a bang.
I don't want to talk about why - its more complicated and nuanced than anyone has represented it to be, including myself - but I'm leaving. I've given this project a lot of energy over the past four years and I've gotten a lot out of it, but its time for me to take my bow. We've had fun and we've made good progress and I'm sure that'll continue without me.
If anyone wants me they can contact me at TIL's forum, the Storyboard, where my handle is Stephen Dedalus. I'm also available on IRC, I'll be spending time mostly in #thras, which is my channel, which all of you are welcome to stop by in. I might come back and comment every once in a while, but I intend not to ever attempt to lead the project in any capacity again.
Godspeed.

Thank you for everything you did for the project. We all appreciate that, and we'll remember the days you helped as an always good memory.
Hope you to succeed in life, and I sincerely hope you to be happy.
Farewell.

Re: A Fond Farewell
If that's true, then I think it's a shame you let it happen this way. Actually, it's a shame to see you leave at all. But with whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best. And since you'll drop by now and then, I'll just say: take care, and see you around.Sload wrote:Sheesh. I guess its no surprise that I couldn't go out without a bang.

You were, at least to me, one of the primary characters of TR. Things won't be the same.

Damn Sload, hope to see you check in once in a while and good luck with whatever keeps you busy. I'll be around IRC and be sure to join #thras. Have fun with the tablet!
Oh, before I forget, thank you for all the work you have done for Tamriel Rebuilt! Although we have some people with knowledge of lore, I doubt we will find a new Head of Lore that is as knowing as you.

Fare the well Sload--I know we haven't always seen eye to eye on things, but everything aside I think you're a good guy and I respect ya and the work you've done here.
So long and thanks for all the fish! Or stories and what have you.
Don't let things get you down. And good luck in RL--'specially if you're applying to college or something right now (I know you took the SAT sometime recently so I'm guessing you're going to be on to that sort of thing sometime around now so...) and if you aren't good luck in whatever you're doing!

It seems your Lore & Quest shoes will be hard to fill.
Your vision of the Hammerfell Lore was the main aspect of TR that capivated me over the last two years. As a matter of fact, how they might unfold is what still draws me to TR from time to time.
You certainly have an eye for quality in ideas. It is my fond hope that whoever carries on with Hammerfell Lore and Quests will manage to keep the spirit of what you laid down.
(I'm also keenly interested what will happen to the MG and the FG in Hammerfell, since that hasn't become clear to me so far from reading anything in L&Q).
Good luck, wherever you go.
