Stressing Out like you wouldnt believe

Post by TheGooch »

During the storms and general bad weather when cyclone hamish popped up near where we live, lightning was particularly annoying... i dont know if it hit the powergrid or what... but to cut a long story short.. it surged through our house and fried my laptop.... things that i have lost:

My laptop. (brick)
VS2008 Pro + 3 Projects (one of which i was making for oht/meht)
ALL of my assignments for Uni. (hense the stressing..)
my ISO of windows 7 (can only hope i can find the hard copy.)
All of the TR work i have been doing the couple of days prior to hamish. (fucking hate that damn cyclone...)
(unrecoverable Harddrive)
/me Cries.

So ontop of the Car engine i have to buy. i also have to get a replacement computer.(the laptop was the only thing that oculd really mod/play oblivion/morrowind.)
so thats about 3000 for the engine. and another 2500 - 3000 for a computer. (desktop with fucking surge protection...)

I have absolutely no way to mod for you guys at this present time.(dont have regular access to teh other comp, which can barely play mw. definately no ob)
and fucking parents just spent all their money on a holiday in july. so they can't get me a new compy. (bastards)

:(

So to you guys i say
adieu,
heydor
and
Goodbye.

On the bright side... you can get a kick ass desktop computer that can own Oblivion into little pieces for under 700 dollars. Surge protectors are 20-30 dollars. This is American dollars, of course.

Damn thats aweful news man. I got rellies there but they live in Brisbane so they generally don't get too much troubles from the cyclones. I hope things take a turn for the better for you.
