Stoneblocks mesh query

Post by RelinQ »

Okay basically there is a piece of static called:

Furn_imp_stoneblock_01

I opened it up in 3DStudio and made a larger version of the object for my map claim.

It looks and works perfectly fine, but if I open it up in the .Nif editor program it doesnt list a texture.

I'm sure it wouldnt be, but I'm just curious is this a problem at all?

I have no idea about your problem, but you are not to create new models for your claims. New items are ok, as long as they use the vanilla resources though.

okay well all I did was scale an existing vanilla model bigger, as in made the mesh bigger by default

I dont think that counts as making a new object so hopefully that should be okay

From what it sounds, you would still have to include a new .nif with your claim, which means that you would still be using new files, which are not in TR_Data and fall under the category of non-usable-items, as you would be including a new model.

I do not think that sentence was confusing, was it?

you could always use the ex_imp_foundation pieces. They're big already.

Alright I'll see, I'll take a look at those other pieces.

The whole reason for this is because Im in the progress of making the "Old Keep" and Im trying to make a artifical wall or barrier around the lake, and normal bricks are big enough to cut it.

So I either need to use my scaled brick or the other stuff that you just mentioned Hem, I'll take a look at that in a min.

EDIT: Okay I took a look at the brick, It could quite possibly be okay (thanks Hem), I might be able to manage with out it, but I think I may need my brick as well.

I'll see how I go.

Isn't sizing the brick in the CS to x2 large enough?

what on earth could require bricks that big? Why could you not just use twice as many smaller bricks?

Im making a wall or barrier around the "OLD Keep" and I wanted to keep the reference count to a minium. If I used normal stoneblocks I'd be using like.. 200 bricks or something stupid.

At this stage Im just going to use that Foundation block that Hemitheon pointed out.
