[Stirk] Quest Error Reporting
This thread is for error reporting about quests. Anything that happens wrongly or doesn't happen or shouldn't happen and does happen during a quest should be reported here.

Quest: MQ, Strange Noises
Last journal entry: Rogkuroth and myself have purged the lower mine shaft of the undead that plagued it. I should find Rogkuroth at the bonfire so we can discuss the next course of action.
Error:
- When I'm in Ancient Ruin, Rokguroth is following me. At the same time, he's saying "you must leave" etc.
- When I leave Ancient Ruin, Rokguroth isn't leaving it.
- When I enter it again, he's still following my steps, urging me to leave. :p
- After I left and entered the Ruin few times, the Orc finally left and went to the bonfire.

Quest: MQ, Father in Trouble
Last journal entry: I entered the Chapel through the tunnel in the mine. Father Ambrogio was dead, though the fire had not yet spread to his bedroom. Someone murdered him. I should tell Rogkuroth gro-Budok.
Error:
- When I was playing the MQ for the first time: in the room (Chapel basement) there was no corpse.
- When I was playing the MQ for the second time: Father Ambrogio died and fell to the ground at the same moment I entered the room (basement).

Please move this post if it is in the wrong section. I was stuck on two Quests, but it seems this might be an AI issue. RadiantAI acting a bit too radiant? Should the movements of these villagers be further restricted?

Most Recent Journal Entry or Event: 'If Telimian Kynarius really does have an addiction to Surilie Brother's Wine, I could make a nice bit of gold feeding his addiction. Or, I could try to help him with this condition and bring it to the attention of his wife. Either way, I will need to talk to them separately.' and 'I have everything I need to help the Amatiuses. I should go give these things to Jonuni.'
Error: Jonuni, Hannia and Dog lady were in the mine when it was closed/locked. After finishing MQ mine gets locked.

Map not showing Stirk
The only that I have done is make an omod out of the files in OMM. I can't see the island from anvil and the boat does not show up. The man is swimming where the boat should be. When I swim I get the message "you can't go any further, turn back". Here is the list of mods that I am running.

I have the GOTY edition so it's fully patched and I have edited the .ini. I removed the arrive by ship mod and the Stirk ship shows up. I still get no fast travel marker. Also I noticed that most of the main characters I came across have no voice acting or any dialog. Is there supposed to be voice acting?

not really sure why your map marker is not showing up (does it show up after youve visited the island?), but the lack of voices is normal. each NPC should have silent mp3s that allow you to read the dialog.
im really not sure how Omods work. they are just archives right? i dont think that it should cause any problems, but you might want to take it out of there and see if the problem persists :shrug:

The map marker doesn't show up after I visit. I'm trying a LOD and map addition for stirk found on TESNexus. Are you planning to add voice acting in the future?
How far along are you with the next oblivion expansion? Are you going to make morrowind for oblivion as well?

no, we have no plan to add voice acting. first and foremost, adding it is a big pain in the butt and we do not have a person who can spend a month doing it. second we do not have voice actors to record the lines.

I'm slowly getting it to work. I noticed standing from the lighthouse in anvil, the man on your ship keeps walking off the side and into the water.
As for the voice acting, I would be interested in giving it a shot if you guys would eventually go that route.

I'm currently playing Stirk 1.2 and i've been having a pretty general bug...
QUEST : It's all the time.
Journal part : Since i've been on Stirk
Problem : The Stirk's Jafan is not there.
Further info : OKay, Jafan is just never there. I've searched around the island, i've searched throughout his boat, nothing.
When one of the quest is asking you to talk to him, the green arrow points right to the dock of the boat, but when you arrive at the point there's just nothing.
I tried to make him spawn with "prid" and a bunch of numbers related to him and it never worked. I'm stuck in the quest...
So, what's your opinion ? (i must also mentionned that he is not essential and IMHO he should be, he almost drowned himself in Anvil bay, plus i don't think he should be moving around all day long.)

Journal Part: Rogkuroth gro-Budok has informed me that the miners have uncovered another door in the lower tunnel, but they have been unable to open it.
(but it could happen in the end of Errands for the Eulius Brothers)
Problems: At some point, Amarius Eulius stops following me. He will go through doors with me, if he is fast enough (he isn't when Polle locks the door behind us in Vassa) but apart from that he doesn't move from the spot.
The lich also prefers to target the Adoring Fan rather than him, but he is properly killed by the quest script*.
*QUEST: The Secret of Vassa
Journal Part: Therander Polle believes that the Ayleids have harvested most of the gold from the mine and stored it in this ruin. He could not open the final door until all four of the stone thrones were occupied, and he has ensorcelled the thrones so that once all four of us were seated, we would be stuck.
Errors: Many. Followers not showing up on time, the lich not showing up at all, etc. I had to retry several times to finally both make Polle leave, and the lich appear. In 2 attempts, Polle simply walked away after we seated us, and stood by the exit.
QUEST: Julia Basilla's Bruises
Journal Part: I brought Julia Basilla the ingredients necessary to bake her pie.
Problem: Julia went missing after this part. I later found her dead UNDER the light house, after resurrecting her, things proceded as normal and I could finish the quest.

Don't really know if this is a 'quest' bug or just a general bug... but didn't see anywhere else to post, so here goes:

Most Recent Journal Entry or Event: Zeek was happy that I collected his bones and sent me to Father Ambrogo to have them buried.
Further Situation: 8 pm at night, Father Ambrogio is in the basement of the chapel behind a trap door with an Average lck. Being a vamp and not around in daylight, I picked the lock, hoping Ambrogio would accept the bones even though I was trespassing.
Error: Gave him the bones, but when I turned to leave, every exit from the cellar was locked with a lock that required a key, so I was completely stuck and had to reload an earlier save.
Suggested fix: Make the trap door only open with a key both ways (if so, make sure he priest is approachable elsewhere), or make the trap door lockpickable both ways.
