Is this website still alive? The news is old on the main page and in the blog, so as a member of the general public, I am asking that the admin update.

We are very much alive, we all just work on the forums so much we kind of tend to... forget the main webpage and blog. There should be some sort of news post on the front page coming within the next 2 weeks, and the blog will probably be updated as everyone and their mother who writes blog entries will now likely scramble to put something up.

Btw, there are 3 admins.

The news is old? Looks like we update the news about once every month, and it was even updated twice last month! Patience is a dying virtue...

The last blog entry is what, three weeks ago? How is that old? :/
It's not like there's major news every two days.

I would know, i took the contract to kill it :D

But seriously, once a month for new updates (even if they are only token updates) seems reasonable. Same goes for the blog, though its also fair to expect the blog to be more regular than the news section (in this day and age and all that).

It was a valid question. Some of the website content could do with an update. I guess if you can't see many of the 'hidden' forums, the forum must look fairly dead too.

most of the forums are visible to normal members (even the claims are now days), so i think it looks fine.

about the website: only really major news, like changes in leadership or releases, are announced on the main page, and that kind of stuff doesn't roll around every week.
about the blog: I've been hella busy, hence no time to write or encourage others to write.

I've also moved this topic to public discussion, as its more appropriate there.

as a noob who's just gotten here, might I suggest (if the trend that people think this place is dead is more than just a one-off) that you, somewhere on the front page, have a section that boldly declares how far you've gotten. Like - I've only been her once, so I might have missed something - but I figured out how far you were (and boy you've gotten far!) by going to the downloads section and checking your descriptions in PlanetElderScrolls for Map 1 & 2.

Not that that was difficult at all, but having a headline at the frontpage that says "Map 1 is almost complete, Map 2 is out in a demo version" would give a better impression of the place being alive (I'm not saying that it isnt alive, but it does puzzle me that when youve achieved so much, it isnt easily deducted from the starting page whether youve gotten anywhere at all or not).
I mean, you're making the mod everybody's dreaming of having and you're doing great. Brag a little! :D

We have a news feed, a status page, a blog, and even a twitter account for that, not to mention all the stuff that precedes it in the form of downloads, word of mouth, release threads, etc.

All that aside, I think it's most important to keep the main website up to date. Is there anyone in particular who is responsible for this?
To name the most blatant thing, Stirk hasn't even been added to the 'Downloads' section of the website yet. (It's had news posts, but those do tend to crawl down into oblivion, no pun intended.)
