Umm... ships, striders, and teleportation locations are all included where they have been deemed apropriate.
If your talking oblivion style fast travel, no such thing exists for morrowind, either pay for a ride or leg it.

You could script a misc item (like a skull) to coc to one of the major transit hubs, like Vivec Mages Guild when you equip it, although how you'd do such a thing i have no idea. Try checking one of the scripting tutorials on this very website?
As far as I know, fast travel by clicking on icons on a map a la Oblivion is impossible. The transport links provided are pretty damn good anyway =]
Striders, Guild Guides, Boats, the teleportation spells and Propylon Chambers are all very useful.

make an NPC like you normally would, then click the AI button in the NPC's edit window. From there select the services tab. Then from there select locations and what not and you are good to go.

The just man frowns, but never sneers. We can understand anger, but not malevolence - Victor Hugo, Les Miserables
The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power - Brutus, Julius Caesar
Fun is bad - Haplo

you are clicking OK and save right? if you cancel out then it naturally won't save. (I'm guessing you are in the habit of pressing cancel as not to dirty your files)
