Texture Creation?

lo people was touring the forum and a question came to me... how do you people normally do your textures?

do you:
1) draw it out on hand wid color & scan in
2) take pieces of textures from the game/other mods/picture galleries & then modify the textures wid filters or mix and match
3) draw it out fresh on the comp using uber mouse skills & brushes

I do it another way, since I am for somereason void of artistic ability except in meshing, I mesh out what I want, put basic textures onto it, then render that and use the render as my texture... other than that I just use basic fills with manipulations in photoshop

i do a bit of all those.. photos scanned in are good.. i have a graphics pen and I do have some tallent with art (or so im told). But most of my work has been editing other peoples work (majorly.. but mainly still edits) I have some things that are pretty much skratch drawn but not much

I usually use photoshop to create textures or any graphics. I either start by messing with filters or start with something already created.

aye matey
guess pretty much the same way as i do it... edit others' stuff. i guess the textures in the game is good enuff for some uses.

but i left my cd back in auss. that sucks big time. cant some programming uber l33t gosu hacker/programmer make a .bsa viewer/extractor?? that will be awesome...

anyway i hope to help in some way or another.. im pretty good wid meshing so.. is there anything that i can do gimme a PM

oh btw. some sources say that 3dsmax 5.1 cant export Morphing modifiers properly...
and i was wonderin if Collapsing the modifier might make it possible in Max 5??

I think i have a good axe one i "edited" (actually did no joke) and i sharpened edges, and all border lines, added some brightness etc. her ec if u like it.
