A gator who lives in the Alik'r, who stays hidden under the sand and waits for any unfortunate victims to ambush. To hide longer, he has an additional two eyes on the top of his head for observation and a blowhole like a whale so air is not a problem:

Hey, good work. The upper right stool looks good. With some more detail I think that would make a good middle class stool. The design of the lower one is a little unclear to me, and the legs of the left one looks a bit weak.

The other sketches look cool too. (Though, as the one who designed the onsi, I have to ask why you didn't include the swords sticking into him. I thought that made my entire concept )

I'm not very sure about the gator. You probably didn't take a look at real life alligator. Their eyes are already at the top of their head. Their nostrils are positioned pretty high as well, so a blowhole, while a cool idea, isn't especially needed.

I'd say if you design a desert alligator, it's the body you have to focus on. A gators body is made for the water, and something that lives in a desert would undoubtedly have a different kind of body.

Thanks for the input Myzel. As I said, the Onsi one is a work in progress and I didn't have the swords in him at the time. With the gator, I was trying to lessen the profile of it even more, for concealment and less exposure to the harsh desert. Once again, thank you for the feedback.

Looks good. I like the details on the head and the little thingy at the end of the tail. The pattern on the sheath looks a bit irregular. A more regular, flowing pattern would probably look better, I think. Still, very nice job.

I'm not sure if my opinion really counts here, but eh, an idea is and idea after all. Mournhold is actually all an interior (as I'm sure you all know). I never see it rain of anything in there. While this is for TES4, I'm sure you could implement something similar. Now, I'm no modding genius or anything, but I'm sure if you took a look at Mournhold in the CS, it shouldn't be too hard to carry the idea over to Oblivion/Hammerfell. Just an idea

And also, even in exteriors, rain doesn't pass through statics. Does it?

rain passes through statics. rain is just a texture right infront of the camera, so it will look like its raining not matter where you are.

it does rain in mournhold, but thats not a problem because its designed to act as an exterior. its interiors (where rain would be inapropriate) are just regular interior cells w/o weather functions. TES4 does not have the ability to tick an interior as an exterior, it uses the much improved Worldspace function for that. so, the interior for this house will either have to be its own worldspace (creates weather problems) or a interior (allows the player to see into the void). now, one way to solve this problem is to make the glass partially opaque and put a round white light simulator (seen for example on cave exits) around it - this however will make it look like its always bright outside, which is again not realistic.

Ah, I see what you're saying. Maybe...a script? A script that changes it from light to dark when appropriate. I'm sure it would work. But this is all quite complicated for just a house...great ideas require great effort.

A multi stage 'light' script to adjust the lighting on the dome structure would work well, if it could be done relitively easily. Something that would help on the realism side would be to make the dome of frosted/coloured glass. That way the lack of detail beyond the glass wouldn't be an issue and the lighting thing would be the only issue.

Just using the reflective, but opaque glass texture like the windows of every house in vanilla OB would help it fit thematically with the rest of the game a lot better.

If someone wants transparent windows, they can mod it in themselves, surely?
