Werevultures?

Post by Tes96 »

This is my first post and I recently installed TR (maps 1 & 2) the other day. I only skimmed through it but it looks absolutely amazing!

Any ways, I love the concept art here on lycanthropy: http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/?p=conceptart&section=15267

But I see that nobody has done any concept art for werevultures, which after reading from here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:On_Lycanthropy

Werevultures are only in Valenwood, though. But if and when Valenwood becomes a part of TR, they will be incorporated into the game, right? I'd love to see all the werecreatures in the game that are mentioned in the book.

Werevultures are pretty badass but unfortunately they aren't found in either Morrowind or Hammerfell. There will be no Valenwood for either Oblivion or Morrowind. No one ever said there would be.

Perhaps someone could have a werevulture as some sort of pet. Maybe something along the lines of jabba the hut's rancor in star wars?

^ That doesn't even make the slightest amount of sense, in terms of lore or logistics.

Oh, I thought Tamriel Rebuilt was going to do the entire map of Tamriel eventually. It might take 20 years or so. lol Shoot, by then, Bethesda will have made TES VII or VIII.

But I'm very anal about lore and having a werevulture as a pet would not be a good idea at all in my opinion.

At this stage we'll be lucky if we ever see TES VI, let alone VII or VIII

I wouldn't be so pessimistic, The Elder Scrolls is a large franchise with massive potential still. It might just take a couple more years for Bethesda to get back to it.

I doubt TR will be doing the Werevulture though, if it isn't in Morrowind or Hammerfel I don't see it happening.

No, TR will not be making a werevulture
No, we will not do more than one province per game
Yes, RelinQ is needlessly pessimistic and kind of a downer

Lemme make sure I got this straight. TR for TES III is just going to rebuild the entire province of Morrowind, right? It's not going to integrate any other province?

Then what is TR for Oblivion? Cyrodiil is already complete in TESIV; they didn't leave out any mainland.

Yep, for Oblivion we chose to do another province: Hammerfell. we also did the island of Stirk (part of cyrodiil, but left out of the game) as a trial project

So I'm assuming you guys will, if it is possible, branch out into TESV when it is released? Atleast if it is not as dissapointing as Oblivion *shudder*.

And a bit closer to topic, could a future game be expanded by TR to include Valenwood, and therefore were-vultures? Knowing TR, it would be an awesome addition.

Are you really expecting a serious answer to that question? :|

Assuming the next game borders Valenwood (I don't think it will, most signs point to skyrim), then it is possible we would make it. As for the were-creatures, I doubt we would do anything like that. They tend to be viewed as gameplay mechanic changes, and we consider those outside of our scope.

Why do you guys even call this project Tamriel Rebuilt if you not even remotely "rebuilding Tamriel"? You're just doing one little itty bitty province. Seems like the name should be "A-Specific-Tamrielic-Province Rebuilt" instead of "Tamriel Rebuilt".

because we aren't going to change our name. no province is "itty-bitty"

This is getting a lock because this is both necromancy and somewhat insulting.
