Where I've Been
Im sitting outside in the sun on a wonderful Wednesday afternoon. Its warm, though colder than usual, and there is a slight breeze. I'm using my mom's Macbook Air and my college's wonderful wifi to bring you this publicly sponsored message.
You've hopefully noticed that I've been absent (if you haven't, shame on you!). The purpose of this post is to explain my absence, tell you about when I will be back, and generally explain my current situation and its impact on TR.
First things first. I've moved. We have been living in apartments for the past 5 years, but now we bought a house. Nice big yard, lots of room - its pretty damn great. I also have a nice big new room (though at the moment its full of boxes) and a new computer courtesy of YaHappyNow (thanks again, if you’re reading this!). The downside of all this is that I have been completely internet-less. I told Haplo that it would be back last week, that sadly was not the case. Comcast is quite busy, we were told we will have it on the 6th of September (at the earliest). Until then I have college wifi (when I'm at college).
Thats thing number two: I've entered college. For those who don't know, I'm a freshman Illustration major at the Maryland Institute College of Art. So far I am loving it. The orientation was hardcore and I was really exhausted (14 hours of continuous activity). Classes are more laid back, at least for now. Since I'm commuting I get here real early (8:00am) and on most days classes go to 10:00pm. Since its still the first week I've been getting out early - but i fully expect that I will be here to 10 and later once everything gets going.
On mondays and tuesdays I got a job (yay!) at the campus tech help desk. delivering electronics, checking stuff out, helping fix stuff. again, pretty chill job, though walking up hills and stairs with 20 pounds of equipments is good exercise. You can see my full schedule on Facebook; but between work and classes I have time to sit around, read, draw, and compute. If you’re ever in Baltimore give me a ring. I'm loving my classes as well, which I'm sure some of you will be hearing about.
So, on to the last point: what this all means for you guys. In the simplest terms: I wont be on TR all the time like i used to. I do have time between classes to check the forums, and I have Thursday off, but even then I will have much more work (especially once the year really kicks in). I don’t know how much work I will have, or how much time I will need to devote to it. If you *really* need me send me an email or text message (for those who know my number). If worst comes to worst then I will have to quit TR, my future really does come first. I don’t expect it to come to that, but i want to put it out there as a possibility.
Well, I think that covers everything. Now I'm off to catch up and read all the posts ya'll made without me.

I was wondering where you've been. Good to hear something at last. And good luck with the college course!!

Glad to hear you're doing so well. Classes to 10 pm... that is hardcore. Good thing it's about drawing stuff.
There's one thing I wonder though: What does this mean for the progress on the oblivion side of the project? Will you still be working on the mod?

myz: they start at 4 and go to 10, with a short dinner break. those are studio classes, so its not a 6 hour lecture but 6 hours of drawing. it works fine for people who live on campus, but not so much for me.
in terms of the project, i consider Hammerfell to be my baby. if anything, this means that i'll be cutting down on stuff that doesnt relate to direct progress of hammerfell and planing out my time here much more efficiently. there are a lot of things that i want implimented, that need to be implimented, and i will be working to get it all done.
haplo: what i have now is better than my main computer in terms of raw power. it has less memory however and as of yet no videocard (but it runs morrowind fine, ive really goten adicted again ). i'll post them when i can.
btw: this thing has shitty batery power. im out before it dies on me.

Myzel, she is the Head of Hammerfell, although Nemon and Nomadic1 both rock at their jobs. Together with the rest of the core, we'll be able to do her job insofar as the immediate future is concerned.
Also, don't really know why this isn't in ID, but whatever.

its in public because its important for everyone to know. memebers with showcases, people who just watch the project, everyone. its a bit odd when someone with such a huge role in the project just dissappears, so i want everyone to have access to the informatinNanu wrote: Also, don't really know why this isn't in ID, but whatever.

its two gigs ram and i think a 2.4 dualcore. not bleeding edge, but twice as good as my main the only problem is that it has a different videocard slot than all my others, meaning i'd have to buy a new card (which i cant do). i'll see if it will run without one, morrowind does great. if not then i'll look around for a 2nd hand one.Haplo wrote:Still waiting for those specs woman

Something that confuses me is when people say "bleeding edge". I'm assuming they are just trying to one-up "cutting edge", but they're wrong, because you bleed after you've been cut. So bleeding-edge is not-quite-as-good-as cutting-edge. But it's whatever, I guess.

yes, first youre cut and then you bleed, which puts bleeding infront of cutting on the timeline, which makes it better anyways, it doesnt matter.
oh yea, im posting from home not sure when ill start the real work, but i have the capacity to do so now.

Behind, actually. You read time lines from left to right, and bleeding happens after, therefore to the right of, being cut.Lady Nerevar wrote: infront of cutting on the timeline
